I've lived actively and exclusively in w-space since I started the exploration tutorial sometime in early January, 2010. I have resided in almost every class wormhole, with the sole exception being a Class 1. I've seen the good, the bad, and the "where the hell did that come from?" side of almost everything involving w-space. I've died at the hands of the best pilots in eve, and I've died at the hands of total dimwits (haha!). I'm not attempting to advocate myself for anyone's corp, and I'm not shamelessly promoting the corp I am a director in, either. After countless losses and a few good wins, I thought it would be entertaining to publish my experiences to be enjoyed by both w-space veterans and those possibly interested in soon joining w-space alike.
Rather than do a generic blog, I am publishing an account of every encounter I engage in, win or lose, in dramatic detail. Wormholes have always been (and will hopefully remain) a conglomeration of the best parts of eve into one area of gameplay. They are published from my own personal viewpoint, and are designed for entertainment while remaining (for the most part) factual. I'm not asking you to subscribe, follow, or any of that other b.s., just enjoy reading it.

Yeah, I had a "special" moment and allowed the URL to include an additional "Http://" at the end. It should be fixed now. |

Not bad. Good embellishment on the circumstances. And always good to see someone die to stupidity. |

I've wanted to do something similar to this. Our corp is planning a blog of our exploits (its on that mile long "to-do" list). +1 for the project. |

Pods don't work that way, sorry. It's not an "ejection pod." You're always in your pod inside your ship, suspended in a goo that allows your brain to interface with the ship.
Didn't read past that. |

Wait -- you fill your pod with goo and float around in your own waste? Kinky! I just have an ejection pod...I kind of feel like concord has been ripping me off in the category of sexual favoritism. It might take a couple of vats, but I'll have to try that "pod'o'lube" thing next time. Anyway, thanks for the comments guys, and I look forward to future reasons to write. |

Didn't read past that. Actually they do. I eject my pod often when shifting ships around at a POS. Right-click on any ship you pilot and you have the 'eject' option. Granted it's not the exact same context as the OP's story, but so? Bit of embellishment doesn't hurt
Really though I think the pod-situation within a ship is open to interpretation. Eve lore says all ships above frigate class have a 'crew', it seems odd that they'd walk freely throughout a ship while we lay submerged in goo the whole time. |

If you're a capsuleer (and we all are), you're in your pod all the time when you're out in space, even inside a ship:

Sure, you can eject your pod from your ship, but you were already inside the pod, inside the ship. |

If you are going to keep with this style of writing, I heartily recommend reading through the EVE lore a bit more to get the technicalities right (or even to the right ballpark). As you are now probably painfully aware, capsuleers indeed do not run around inside their ships.
The writing was good however and it was an entertaining read. |

WH justice and the almighty bob demands it.
Also fantastic read. I know its cannon that we are floating around in pod goo but i believe the story would not have been half as good without you running too an escape pod laughing like a mad man xD A true hero(tackle)

Meh if someone wants to write as a capsuleer that doesnt stay in his pod i dont see a problem with it, the pod must open somehow, so its not stretching that some capsuleers might pilot their ship manually from time to time. |

If I wanted to preserve a "good" record or measured success by an ISK ratio in KvD, then it probably wouldn't be. Have you seen my lossboard..I mean...killboard though? I assure you, as my countless pages of death clearly state, if I am going to have fun without blatantly feeding my would-be victims, I am always up for a fight. In the end, I believe that is what wormholes are all about -- fun. You make enough ISK to feed a healthy bloodlust, why not embrace that? On the flip (and inconsequential) side, Hazmatty recovered my sister's probe launcher from Rumrunner's wreckage, so most of my "loss" (albeit petty) was recovered. The tackle *had* to be made, or the evil, drunk Ivan would have gotten away. |

What is most of EVE's lore anyway? Mostly a concoction of it's player's and some fiction writers. It's all semi-official, scattered, often vague, sometimes contradictory and open to interpretation. Whether or not a blog adheres to this lore makes little difference to my enjoyment.
For instance Vladimir Norkov's "Taxman Chronicles" blog was a an awful mix of IC/OOC writing with almost zero adherence to EVE's 'lore', but still one of the best and most popular EVE story blogs anyone's written so far (imo).
Looking forward to your next entry Faded! |
