Heh, I see why I am so bad at this game. I like the arbitrator w/ heavy beams. Too bad it can only use EM drones properly after the patch. The omen is also sporty. I never really cared for the Maller. That's a bigger, slower ship than I enjoy to fly.
Also, to whomever asked, the Arbitrator is getting a midslot because it is supposed to become some kind of turret disruptor platform. Sounds sketchy, but I'm gonna give it a go anyhow. It'll be some kind of interesting support cruiser. They may want to add some speed and targetting range to these guys. I didn't name mine Cathedral of Glass for nothing.
Nah, scratch that. It deserves to be weak to missiles. Everything needs a clear weakness.

I was just wondering why they would change the stats in the item database before the changes are actually on tranquility.

Originally by: PKlavins who said destroyers? ive seen more of those than dreads for sure...and destroyers are good for lvl2's
once RMR comes out titans and carriers will join the ranks of 'EVE's Least Used' simply cause they are expensive beyond belief (im not whining...for good reason they are expensive) and they need tons of skills at lvl5.
The smaller carriers are supposed to be fairly common and should eb present in most large scale fleet battles.. thats what the GMs said anyway. Motherships? Probably not so common.

Augoror and Heron.
The planned changes to the Augoror do not make it sexier either.
It should get a mining bonus or something else great, its a waste of a really cool model imo. Nobody wants to use an Augoror if he can have a Omen for a little more.

I had to buy a Wreathe because I'd never seen one in space before.
I saw my first ever Arbitrator the other day. I actually didn't know what it was and engaged anyway. Like you do. It popped my Wolf...right, it's the Amarr drone ship, heh.
I last saw a Bellicose in space over a year ago. I see Typhoons quite a bit, but the missile changes probably hurt them more than any other ship (Raven pilots don't know they're born). It could do with a more flexible high slot layout, or a change to its bonuses.

Only once have I seen an Auguror and i'm not surprised because it's just junk... seldom see any of the logistics cruisers, killed a Guardian tho... don't think I've ever seen a Crane...
Those supposed to be rare like navy/faction ship and that luxury yacht are rare. (only one luxury yacht :S)
the ships that SHOULD me used the least should be stealthbombers since they just suck :P

Originally by: Del Narveux Omen -1 or 2 more slots and more grid. Should be able to fit 4x heavy pulse and a halfway decent tank.
Both my mains use Omens regularly, fit 4 Overdrives/Nanofibers, a 10Mn MWD, a medium cap battery and a large shield extender and they make a very nice mission hauler for cargos in the range 120m3 (too big for a frigate) to 500m3, but can still hit the gates at 1400m/s+.

Edited by: Del Narveux on 14/11/2005 10:01:32 Omens not bad as a cargo cruiser, but it really does leave something to be desired combat wise. Its in the same class as vexor and caracal but it just doesnt have killing potential like they do. Maller used to be popular, but BCs have sort of pushed them out as the main reason to fly a maller has always been to have a lot of grid and/or massive tank potential but not require the isk risk of flying a BS.
Arbitrator is actually not uncommon if youre into drones, I know quite a few people (including myself) who use them. The vexor as a ship is better, but not if you have amarr cruiser 5 rather than gallente. _________________ [SAK] And Proud Of It! -- aka Cpt Bogus Is that my torped sig cloaking your base?

Maybe they're rare in 0.0, but NPCs aren't so smart.
These things are incredible. I've been lucky enough to have both a Basilisk and a Scimitar pilot supporting me. My main mission ship is a Typhoon, incidentally, and one of my former corp mates flew an Arbitrator - which is high on my list of beautiful ships. Oh and I've escorted a pilot in a Burst just yesterday - but I agree on the Bellicose.
The Basilisk upheld my shield tank single-handedly in a Silence The Informant IV, where the three battleship drones are going for your throat. That's no small feat considering my Typhoon was really armour tanked, i. e. no shield extenders/hardeners.
In a lvl III storyline 10/10 the Scimitar kept my Claw alive when four Megathrons plus assorted cruisers and frigs were giving me hell - one of the Megathrons got a lucky angle on me for 525 damage. Note, must devise a zig-zag course that has no turnover points. Spiral, maybe.
Carebears, get Logistics Cruisers. 0 guns, easy to fly, do a demostration mission with a mission runner and he might just hire you for life.

Exequor, the level 1 gal cruiser I think. I havent seen these since the first days of eve when it was a big miner cause it was cheap and decent miner. I see the logistics version much more than I see the basic one. Not to many celestis' around and I usually only see int 3s or int 5s, no interon 4s(maybe its just me)

True, not many of those around.
I fly it sometimes. The exequror is an excellent ship for a very specific task - quickly hauling cargo of 600-1100 m3. For anything below frigates are better, for anything above indies.

Mission running with a logistic is so sweet :) you just have to focus your ship on damage deal, no cap prob, no shield prob In PvP they are Primary target

I love my underused ships.
I use a Wreathe for loot collection, and fly Exequrors and Arbitrators for pvp when the mood takes me. I also use Executioners as big shuttles.
I'm sure the Exequror garners some success as opponents are too busy laughing at it. ;) With light guns, 8 medium drones, web, scramble and fast lock, with some tank it's good fun as a frig killer though :)
The Arbitrator is fun because often people don't know what it is. Had a Rifter attack me thinking I was a mining barge...oops. 13 Hammerhead IIs, scrambler and a lot of NOS soon reeducated him ;)

I fly a Maulus sometimes, it's a really nice looking ship. Reminds me of Boba Fett's ship. :)
Of the Gallente ships, it's definitely the Navitas and the Exequror that I rarely see anyone using. I think after the mk2 thing the Navitas will get a second life as a mining ship. The Exeq, well... my god it's an ugly beast. You Amarr BS pilots complaining about your textures, zoom in on one of these babies for a good laugh.
I picked one up the other day as a cheap throwaway mining cruiser, and I can tell you I will not shed a tear if I lose it.

only one of you have mentioned the Breacher so far. :)
I don't think I've seen anyone use it, but it does have a purpose! Sit 50km off a .4 gate, and you will fool everyone into thinking you're a sniper Tempest sitting at 200km. :D
though seriously..3 rocket launchers + explosive damage bonus is very nasty. If you don't run out of cap on the way in. Which you probably will.
