ISHTAR, all the way, no lv 4 mission i have'nt been able to do in it so far.
i use:
3 x 150mm II, 2 x small nos
10mn ab II, 90% webber, 3 x cap rep II
1600mm rolled tungsten plate, best medium armor rep u can get, 3 tech 2 hardeners
and lots of drones

if ur the pilot "hinta" flying it, i wouldnt really bother. 3mil sp max?
however if its with a more exp pilot i would say, ishtar, its currently more versatile if you have decent skills.

Deimos can do the job fine, but you will find yourself running into problems with frigs webbing and scramming you + it can get pretty hairy going straight into an aggrod group
For an ishtar: 2 med nos* 3 125 t2s, or 3 small nos, or whatever you fancy (i figure the rails will help with killing off frigs, but the drones do it so quick once webbed it doesnt really matter)
10mn Ab, web, 3x cap recahrger 2s
Med rep 2, 4 hardners of whatever rat type - might want to go for cap relays if your doing guristas since the hardners arnt that affective with the already uber high resistances.
And 16 Wasps (or whatever damage type you need)
Might want to fit a plate too, say an 800 t2, but things may change after the patch

an assault frig has issues with some of the bigger stuff(mainly breaking their tanks)
where as the ishtar just tanks it while the drones blow it up, just like the domi only smaller

While we're on the topic of the Ishtar... Does anyone hunt Angels in 0.0 successfully with an Ishtar? I've been doing it in a Dominix for a while and it works pretty well but I want to try something new.
I was precisely thinking of a setup like the one above, with 2 armor explosive hardeners II and an energized adaptive nano II (+ med rep II + 1600mm plate). This gives me sweet resistances (68/81/87/74), so with 15 berserkers I guess it should work pretty well, but can I get some input? maybe another setup idea? Thanks.

The main thing about the Ishtar vs the Dominix is the efficiency at which you hunt. If you're hunting rats in belts, the quicker you gather up loot and get to the next belt the better, right? Ishtar does this quickly and efficiently...far better than the slow, ponderous Dominix.
I'm a fan of both ships, but each has their role. The Ishtar is the ultimate I-play-when-most-of-my-corp-mates-aren't-online ship. You really can solo a lot of stuff from missions to 0.0 hunting.
Frankly, I've not hit a belt spawn yet, officer or NPC mining op, that I've not been able to take down without really breathing heavy.
4 named small nos - 1 small remote armor rep (for drones)
Serp webber (13km) - 10AB II - 2x Med Cap battery II - 18%recharger
2x Small Armor Rep II - 1600mm rolled tung - N-type Kenetic - N-type Thermal
18 ogres in the drone bay.

Ishtar outperforms my dominix when it comes to NPCing in belts. I have taken on several 5mill + BS spawns and would not hesitate to take on an officer. As for my setup you will have to work that one out yourself.
