So, I'm having difficulties selling mining permits, due to a combination of Crimewatch and a general shortage of jetcan miners.
Does anyone have any techniques that particularly help a solo cleanup crew? So many miners cluttering these systems, all operating without permission, and none biting. |

More of a start-up in the material protection industry. It's just that I can't protect people's ore unless they purchase a permit.
Unfortunately, it's much harder to protect ore by moving it to my own can than it used to be, it would seem, and less people are using cans anyways.
When I am able to move the ore to what should be a safer location, if they haven't paid for the privilege, there's occasionally an unfortunate misfire of missiles into the new, safer can.
Sadly, though, my services keep getting declined. |

With the barge n exhumer buffs, jetcan mining has become irrelevant. The cargohold for most barges are more than 10k m3. Most miners will let the ore hold fill up and then unload at the station.
You can however, try bumping the miners. Hit them with at least a cruiser at MWD speeds, and you can bump the miners out of mining range. This will stop them from mining. If you're working alone, you will typically be bumping the miners.
Consider joining the New Order of High-Sec's permit franchise by contacting any agent of the New Order. We are here to save high-sec from bot aspirancy and non-compliant mining. Other services include ganks using various tools including our signature catalysts, pod popping thrashers, and terror weapons such as the Brutix, Talos and Tornado. We also have a catalyst Ship Replacement Program, to cover your ganking costs.

Halaima is an entire 5 jumps away from where I've been trying to help these poor miners in Urlen. Besides, despite the ancient account, I think I've actually played a grand total of 5 months or so, and am, ashamedly, not entirely self-sufficient without part-time Carebearing. |

A stabber can fit an oversized microwarpdrive if you want insane bumping power. You can bounce people a long, long way to interrupt illegal mining. As long as you can keep them at over 125% of their max velocity, they can't even warp away.
Pro tip: Don't bump anyone further than 150km. It actually makes it faster for them to return if they can warp to an asteroid rather than slowboat to it.

You're all jerks, but with that said it's true that can flipping pretty much died when all the miners got massive ore holds.. It's astounding how much a simple little Venture can hold within its little hull.
It's seems the only way to really harass miners nowadays is suicide ganking them all day, like the New Order appears to enjoy doing. You can bump them too.. but meh that mostly works on afk ice miners, and with the new "dynamic" ice fields, they may not be quite as lazy and afk as previously. Would still annoy them though, I'm sure. |

Then how about turning to some honest work instead of trying to coax honest people doing honest work out of their hard earned cash?
Ah yes, you're one of THOSE people, who will try to get shortcuts through the grissy work. Well **** you and the llama you rode in on.
The problem with your line of work is that you don't see a difference between money-grubbing multi-person fleets strip-mining (in a true sense of the word) everything and those people who are, like you, forced to _carebear_ for 5 months before they can start enjoying _the life_ out amongst the stars without having loan sharks take posession of everything they own for the next 5 years.
Edit: Ofcourse, some people aren't afraid to do some _carebearing_ for 5 months to reach their goals and won't reach for the less reputable line of work even if their life depended on it.
You on the other hand, like all the other pathetic losers (including the New Order, who are afraid to get corped together in fear of war decs, pr0 l33t p33v33p33 b4d45535) do exactly just that. |

Ignoring the contradictory bits about who's game play you find righteous/ repugnant, I am very sure the general population of the miner bump community would be more than happy to accept any wardec you wished.
The majority of the players involved with "emergent hisec game play" are in corps of one type or another. As such they are subject to wardec mechanics like everyone else. Or do you mean to say they should all join the same corporation? Do you really think making them into something like a nulsec coalition would make them easier to run out?

I'm in a two person corp with an RL buddy. Hell, if you read 2-3 whole posts in here, you'd probably even be able to deduce that I suspect flag in the process of trying to garner cash. I even explained why I'm not suicide ganking.
So, basically, your self-righteous bitching sounds kind of stupid when it's proven inaccurate by the thread you posted it in. |

Have you ever seen an agent of the New Order in an npc corp? 10 million isk per year mining permits isn't real profit for most of us (with the exception of some fanatical salespeople). Carebears pay our fee to demonstrate their obedience and submission to our CODE.
Oh and OP, we operate in all of high-sec, as our logistics permit, not just around Halaima. You're quite welcome to join us for some ganking. Please help me with my survey on high-sec aggression: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1dLcM27c_qDyOIxFgE4Zan_T8j_eZDDeCUAEL4lwXGC8/viewform |

Oh look, another person who didn't manage to read the whole thread.
Of miners I've been trying to sell to recently, one came back with a Corax and a Drake, another called in a Ferox (that one was funny when it popped) and yet another sicced a combined Moa, Corax, and Logi Osprey on my single Caracal, and still almost lost the fight.
(Actually, if they'd been less disorganized, it would have been at least one for one, because I would have actually switched scram to the Osprey and killed it instead of chasing it off while keeping the tackle Corax dead. But the Moa wouldn't even jump in until I was tackled and Logi was helping the Corax.)
So, who, exactly, is afraid? I'm running around, solo, in Frigs and Cruisers, flashing yellow. Not calling for a disorganized 50 ship rabble to lynch mob one guy.
I may not be amazing at PvP, but at least I'm willing to do it. |

So if I read this right you go to a belt with suspect flag and then the miners leave and come back with combat ships and engage you? If so I am going to have to try this. |

I go to a belt, get a suspect flag, and the miners leave and come back with their mission ships. If I was running in a gang it'd be totally amazing, but I don't think I want my solo Caldari PvP fits going up against 3-4 mission ships with scrams slapped on them.

To the OP though, i'd suggest minerbumping and the new order guys. I don't personally endorse them but until you have means to run your own system lockdown - better learn the ropes and get some isk or friends behind you. <--dotbot |
