In answer to your last question - have you tried ice mining? It is one of the most boring, mind-numbing jobs in Eve. Thankless is being nice. I'll ask again. Ganking is a part of Eve, a dev sanctioned game mechanic and nothing special. So again, why the special treatment? Plus again if mining is that thankless, why do it?
Just because you can suicide gank, means you are entitled to get an insurance payout too ? |

OK Mag - I hope this answer will satisfy
Ganking is sanctioned - but ganking in hi-sec is closer to griefing so should carry more repercussions than low or null. This plan shows how to implement that.
TO MY MIND ... ice mining and to an extent rock mining is a boring, thankless task - but some ppl (Chribba comes to mind easily) love it and want to do it - AND THE ECONOMY demands it.
Hope that satisfies and thx for the bumps |

Hope that satisfies and thx for the bumps High sec ganking is not griefing, as it too is sanctioned by CCP. The repercussions are already higher than in low and null. So the question still remains, why the special treatment?
If some people love ice mining and the rest gain ISK from doing it, it's not a thankless task now is it. Boring yes, thankless no.

This idea has been posted a dozen times here and ignored so far by CCP. It gets trolled all to hell by the same 0.0 people defending their right to gank, and eventually sinks down into the list. It's more than a little frustrating.
The idea is valid, and should be taken seriously. No amount of trolling will change that. Keep going, OP!

When anyone disagrees with you, you call troll. In fact that is your fall back position, for everyone not following your line of thought.
It's also rather worrying, that you seemingly cannot distinguish between real life and the game.
I will again give you good advice: Time for you to step away from the comp and take a break.

Please bring something to the table other than troll calling. Its pertty lame you resorted to that pertty quickly.
Also start counting the likes For and likes Against. You'll see something disturbing. |

you're comparing eve to a real life problem that's hundreds more important than this, you've already lost the argument please, PLEASE stop posting and trying to deny it's a bad idea.
and giving money to give africans water is a totally different scenario, why would you compare these two? |

So this is an interesting point What happened about learning by others mistakes. Can experience (mistakes) ONLY be learnt if it directly affects you? I will admit that the emotionalism that the victims feel has not been passed on but their experiences are real and the emotional connection has been conveyed successfully. Do you have to lie in a gutter and drink infected water before you give aid to Africa? I have many industrial friends in Eve that mine their own ice to maintain their empire based POS(es). The basis of this idea comes from identifying a need from a experience albeit someone else's. And Alestra says "No" ...... fantastic
If you want to use africa as a means of balance. heres one for you.
No insurance for anyone. No protection for the miners. |

In this Forum you bring new things to the table as the 'negoations' burn along not the same point over and over again alot of FnI veterans seen just about every idea so far.
You my friend never left the starting position as so many other ideas.
Things to do next time.
1 Research your idea. Chances are your suggestion was already made. Weigh the Pros and Cons brought up last time, if you make a suggestion that only has one card in its deck verses a full poker hand you may want to reconsider the specifics of your idea.
2 Make your idea different. This was a repeat of four other ideas in the past and possible which is why alot of us where better armed to shoot your argumetn down entirely as it was well practiced five times now if you sat down and thought about how to better the game while dodging the aformentioned cons.
3 Adress the cons directly and ask for help getting around them. For example I menionted abusive mechanics earlier you only adknowledge abuses exists and chose to ignore the possiblity.
4 Listen to the majority feedback nit pick apart their reasons and rebuff your own ideas on how to adress thier complaints, doing so you'll make better ideas.
5 Do not **** off the people (multiple infractions) giving you feed back they're less likely to change thier position and come up with even better ideas on why your idea is bad.
6 If you do not mention the whole story at the beginning DO NOT interate it later, makes you look very bad withholding information. IE never been a victim of a suicide gank.
Thats just edict around it give or take there are probably a few more unspoken rules.
Followed by general rules on ideas around here
1 Swarm abusable? In your case likely no. 2 Abusable? You did absolutly no thinking on how to exploit this. 3 Sellable. If your job depended on selling this idea you'd be back to the drawing board again. |

Was going to send you a pm, but the reply below is not worth paying anyone a 5000 CSPA charge
Very nicely put Nova, and if an idea needed selling then those would be the things I would need to follow. But ideas are just that - a strange, etheric, updefined and often spur of the moment flash that seems to address a need perfectly. I sell a plan which ecompasses a process. I do not sell ideas. It is for CCP to take and develop if they find it fits. Thank you for your feedback and constructive criticism. K |
