Hello everyone,
coming back after a long break and interested in trying the new Hacking/Archaeology system. I'm searching on the forum and googling already, but iI would really appreciate any tip on what ship to use in both high and lowsec.
It seems to me that covert frigates should have a big advantage, both for the probing and the virus bonuses, but they are not good at all for taking the rats down.
Maybe a BC? What about a Recon instead? I feel like recons are calling me :) But maybe that would just be a mistake.
Any tip appreciated. Thanks. |

I've done them a couple of times now and I've just been using a covert ops prober.
The fitting I'm using is pretty standard. Mids are mwd, 2x scanning modules (for range and scan strength), a hacking module and a cargo scanner
I haven't put a stab on mine but it might make sense since you don't really all the locking range and you spend fair amount of time uncloaked and sitting still |

And avoid combat ladars. Which also still have rats. |

Thanks thanks thanks. I appreciate that fitting advice, just curious about the cargo scanner: do you use it to scan the containers maybe, just to see if the loot is worth taking it or not? (can you use it like that btw? i'm not sure, i'm going to try it soon). |
