I've been doing this Arc last week end...not finished yet tho, its pretty long.
Is it just me or the DPS dished in most of these mission is in another league compared to standard lvl 4 MIssion? I mean with a single LARII / 4 resists on my Kronos I had to warp out several times, and I didn't do the most difficult missions yet |

Yeah the Epic arcs are considerably higher DPS than LVL-4's. I can't remember if it was Showtime or Studio One that has the highest incoming DPS but I do know you need to add some tank or failing in that, bring friends.

I don't have any friends but I can remove some damage mods to fit a second LARII
These missions differ also in the enemies they feature, In most LVL4 missions the enemies are at a distance when you warp in, in these arcs they tend to pop right at your face with some some savage close range fits...so I switched to blasters myself and gained a lot of time in the process. I did break a sweat when I was down to 30% armor and not aligned |

It's normal. These blasterboats are meant to teach you to start moving instead of sitting still and get hit, which carebears do for some reason. 2nd LAR will not help you, fit prop and pull some distance. Standings Improvement Service https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=19454 |

There are several missions in each epic arc that are really dangerous to the unwary L4 mission runner. I learned an important lesson after almost losing my BS twice: resist the urge to kill web/scram frigates first. It makes total sense to want to focus on them, but these epic arc mission EAT drones. If you focus on killing the scrams first, you'll be losing drones so fast it's hard to keep up and you still won't have killed all the scram frigates (in some missions there are up to 6 of them). The DPS will all be up and running and you'll be dying fast, while still scrammed, with no drones. Go after the closest, biggest DPS first. If you're pimp fit, you might ignore that advice, but if you're pimp fit and running epic arcs, you should be aware that there are some epic arc mission invaders out there. You've been warned! |

Lost a Nighthawk to one of the Minnie Epic missions, came back in Tengu, cleaned up without a problem. *sigh* I really wanted to avoid using the "go-to" Tengu. "Blow it all on Quafe and strippers." --- Sorlac |

well at first I was doing it with rails and AB as usual, but by the time you get enough separation (these "veteran" npcs can be pretty fast) your armor is gone :P |

Say sniper domi once more and I'm gonna throw up. I'm sick of it, it did give some good services before the megathron was viable for missions but it made missions very unentertaining and frustrating |

Fit MWD. Ab is fast enough to keep up the distance with them only for Mach and Vargur. These "Veteran" Syndicate BS have real MWDs, with real sig bloom, so don't worry about transversal, you'll hit perfectly even on the move. Quoted for truth. However, in the Caldari Epric Arc, one of the last missions will have you perma-jammed and disrupted. |

The epic arc always had mwd enabled, it was designed that way from the beginning. The mwd change was only in regular missions. Standings Improvement Service https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=19454 |

My usual mission domi has mids as mwd, 1x omni, sebo, tracking computer and cap booster. In that mission, I'd just bring mjd, omni, 2x eccm, cap booster, and bring wardens/curators, ie the triple omni use gardes for everything builds only make sense if there isn't ewar. Even so those pilots will probably just set their drones to aggressive, and they'll probably still shoot jammers, and they'll still do the mission quickly enough. |
