My community is looking for someone who can do really good programming with the Eve API, and incorporate it into websites. and hopefully make it look nice and intuitive to use.
we are willing to pay. this is basically to the highest qualified person (please show me some things you have done)
things we need to know:
How long how much past experience, examples or portfolio is preferable but not always required.
Here is what we need (to name a few)
Incorporating the entry of API keys in a forum sub section that will link a users forum to that eve character(s)
the ability for the admins to monitor or look at logs or similar showing the wallet transactions of the characters and within the corp.
those are the two main highest priority things, a basic (custom) schemed kill board would be great as well.
perhaps being able to "link" or login from within the eve browser would be easier than having to make it copy and paste your api (depending on what is available from the eve api of a toon while in game.
a web based corporation asset management feature. (does not have to be able to be intractable unless there is some interactivity possible) but more just a visual log / database / with the ability to only make certain persons have access.
any other ideas would be nice as well.
after you contact or post here and we contact you and discuss options and payment terms.
if you would like to participate, please contact me on here I would prefer to discuss orally on our team speak and we will give that information to prospective persons.
thanks in advance, and hope to get alot of interested parties :)
P.S. We are fully prepared to offer several methods of compensation and even extra for rush, or extra outstanding work.

CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL!!!!!!!!
That's quite a massive project you have there. Given the size of it, my first wonder is: Do you realise how much work this is, and if so, how much are you willing to pay for it? |

For a title, I don't really think it matters, yes we are an adult group of players. not children our site is adkgamers.com
you can see that it is very well put together, however I am not familiar with the Eve API, nor am I an expert programmer, our site dev is not familiar either.
the isk is negotiable, as well as other forums of allowable payment.
who ever would do the best work the fastest for the cheapest price would get our business, but we know it is a lot of custom work / programming, and are ready to pay for it.
I just happen to be posting from an alt since it was the one selected when I logged in.

I find that the definition of 'isk' differs greatly. Give us a ballpark figure? |

Looking into this in the recent past, because I just didn't have the time to just do it myself, I was quoted in the billions for this. Just trying to eliminate sticker shock... |

Oh, don't worry, unless you're offering some SERIOUS cash I'm not interested in doing it. As a rule of thumb, I'd say at least 30b or so for just the basics. |

well looking in to the appox amount of time and effort that would need to go into this and how much time and effort goes in to usually making ISK>
WE are open to negotiations
but also the lowest bidder, I am in contact with others currently pricing will be discussed in private of course, and we will go with the one who can offer the best work, price is second. speed would be third, but speed is not required of couse |

Where did you get that link? Maybe I missed it :|
Incorporating the entry of API keys in a forum sub section that will link a users forum name to that eve character(s)
I've done something similar in IPB, but it was to look for the players avatar by their character name, I guess it wouldn't be that hard to fit for API keys that are admins-eyes-only.
the ability for the admins to monitor or look at logs or similar showing the wallet transactions of the characters and within the corp.
A definitive list of features would be nice.
those are the two main highest priority things, a basic (custom) schemed kill board would be great as well.
Like zkillboard? or something completely custom?
perhaps being able to "link" or login from within the eve browser would be easier than having to make it copy and paste your api (depending on what is available from the eve api of a toon while in game.
This is open to security holes unfortunately. I wouldn't recommend on implementing this.
a web based corporation asset management feature. (does not have to be able to be intractable unless there is some interactivity possible) but more just a visual log / database / with the ability to only make certain persons have access.
Integrating with IPB makes this more complex, but would allow all people with accesses to see what they can with ease. Otherwise a simple script with a password on it would take less time. Your call. |

I'll quote you 45b for the initial work excluding the killboard.
OP you should post your budget so you don't waste all our time. - |

Sorry, all, I have been busy with other setup, unrelated. However I have not posted our budget, because, I do not want to say that is our max, and also do not want people to quote as High as we go, the reason its negotiable is because I have had several say 40 bil, and some say 20 bil, so if I had put 40 bil as my budget then everyone would say that,
in any case I would choose the lowest bidder, however the lowest with the most experience, so it may not be the actual cheapest, it would be the best client. |

I will msg you the page link.
The forum would have a section (when I say form u just mean it can be a its own "site" thats incorporated within the forums, or has abilities within the forum, for example auto login and connection when using the eve in game browser, meaning that when they login and add their apI from the eve in game browser, it will add them to a data base for all to see, that shows their forum name, and their ever character(s)
also maybe more info for the admins, or corp leaders that can see their wallet transactions, or things to help make sure people are accountable, or at least to see if they accessed the corp wallet inappropriately.
the kill board does not need to be custom, however fonts, and theme should match, or at least coordinate with our current site theme etc.
perhaps being able to "link" or login from within the eve browser would be easier than having to make it copy and paste your api (depending on what is available from the eve api of a toon while in game.

this is fine, using In game browser is not required, i thought it would be easier, however all w really need is a "page" where they can be logged into the foums /. site, and then enter the correct API key's and then it "links" them on the bored to the toons on eve.
the web based viewing of assets/ auditing is something we really want, even though it may be a little more complex, however it does not really need to be in IPB, just on our site, only the people who are allowed access, (user name and password thing is fine)
again msgs to me with about the approx amount you would like, and about how long it would take, and I will reply with our website and any other info you think you may need.
If requesting up front payment or down payment, that MAY not happen unless you are well known around here, however we can agree on a price and use a well known third party to hold all the money, and upon proper completion the third party will be sure to give it to you.
the person/team that asks for the least amount, that can do it the fastest, and provides the best results, will be the one getting our business, I do know the saying: choose 2, good, fast, or cheap, however within reason, obv. so we are looking for the best option for us. again, pricing is negotiable.
thanks in advance. |
