Yea human error by some dev that just happens to be connected to TEST/NC/PL. But other than that a pure accident they ruined the biggest fight in a while. A real fight. Not let's drop bunch of supers and **** around. |

Complete waste of almost 2,000 people's night - yup 2,000 subscribers wasted a night and achieved nothing in the end
It was not a node crash! It was someone giving restart command. That someone just saved a cap fleet and 2 rokh fleets for test and co.
Game is working fine, it's the biased admins that need kicking. People who deal with servers and nodes should NOT play the damn game. That way they can at least try to be objective instead of oopsing this way. |

CCP Phantom wrote:Shamata wrote:CCP you just ****** one of the largets fleet battels in eve history... THANKS! In the attempt to improve the overall fight quality and node stability in the Z9PP system at 22:41 UTC by moving away all non-critical services from this node, our engineers unfortuntely made a mistake and actually moved the critical system from the current server node instead of moving all other systems. As result every pilot in this system lost connection to the node and therefore to Tranquility. The system Z9PP is online and accessible again now. It is extremely unfortunate to make such a mistake and we apologize deeply for disrupting one of the truly epic battles in the history of EVE; especially since this battle already raged on for several hours and was still heating up for more! We are very sorry about this incident and will make sure that such mistakes won't happen again.
Does that someone just happen to play for test or some of their allies? Seems to be very fortunate "error". When we got jumped by everyone and their dog in Asakai somehow there were no mistakes. But here le oops all of the sudden. |

So awesome. Waiting for escalation for 5 hours and then CCP fucks it all up. So much for epic fights and escalations. When test and co **** up CCP comes running. |

There is a difference between server crashes by itself and oops we just happened to move the critical process instead of unimportant ones. Oops I ended up on the antarctic instead of bahamas. honest mistake. They all look the same after all. This is ******* bullshit especially since node was getting better and numbers were dropping. |

We are painfully aware of this and believe me: it hurts to see such epic battles, which are not found anywhere else in the whole gaming industry, being cut off like this. We want to give you the servers, tools and environment to create and enjoy such epic moments to its fullest extend, that is what our dream and passion is about - destroying such battles just to influence the course of the in-game actions, however, is not what we do.
But that was the effect here. And quite huge influence it was. Sure it would not change the outcome of the war in a single battle but it will help test.
Worst thing is all the hours everyone lost here. |

There is a huge difference between node crash (nobody would make a big stink about it) and some admin actually ruining an awesome fight in which people invested 5-6 hours plus it saves tons of ships for one side in the biggest war in the game.
Two very different things. All players whine about crashes but we understand it happens. This is different. This just pisses off anyone for interfering with the most important war in 0.0 |
