I'm looking for pearls of wisdom. I need advice on how to take on LM Condors and Talwars that use TD's. I'm currently training my own missile skills but till then I need guidance.
I'm thinking that my best bet is to get in close as fast as possible and land a scram/web. Only issue I have is that these ships hit pretty darn hard and the TD's make it very difficult.
What Frigate/Destroyer size hull and fittings would you recommend? |

Use a drone boat.
Alternatively, use ECM jammers and make their life hard in return, or sensor dampeners to choke their range. If you go with jammers then you can use short range weapons. If you choose sensor dampeners then you can use long range weapons.
Fitting ABs lowers incoming missile damage, but you may not be able to tackle them due to a lack of end speed. Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling. |

Atron with Microwarpdrive, MSE and scram can take the condor. |

You can try and instapop them with an arty thrasher (although that will not work vs a Talwar)
Your next best option is to get a ship that can simply run them down. A dual prop malediction is a good choice here. Fit with a small armor rep, it will easily be able to tank the talwar once you have it scrammed, and turn your AB on. In the case of the condor, just about any inty will do.
The condor is pretty easily countered if you have a ship that can roughly match its speed. If you can slingshot well, and get a scram on it- your going to kill it. The thing with condors is they put out such a small amount of DPS, that it allows you time to attempt multiple sling shots.
The Talwar is going to be able to counter most frigs, but you need to remember it is quite slow. My best advice would be scramming it, and having a dual prop ship that can mitigate some of that light missile damage. |

While Chessur and I disagree on a number of tactics/fit this is pretty much the way to kill condors. Or if you are so inclined fit up this.
[Vigil, Anti-condor]
Micro Auxiliary Power Core II Damage Control II
Limited 1MN Microwarpdrive I J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I X5 Prototype Engine Enervator Kinetic Deflection Field II Medium Shield Extender II
Rocket Launcher II, Caldari Navy Inferno Rocket Rocket Launcher II, Caldari Navy Inferno Rocket
Small Ancillary Current Router I Small Anti-Kinetic Screen Reinforcer I Small Auxiliary Thrusters I
Hobgoblin II x1
This tanks the kinetic damage of a condor like a boss and as soon as you scram him he's dead!
Note: if you plug in a 3% pg implant and swap the MSE II for a meta 3/4 one you can swap the ACR rig for another Aux thruster rig to catch the condors even easier. That is the Way, the Tao.

Slicer or nano AF like Retri, Harpy, or Wolf work well against Condors, Hookbills or Talwars.
You would think that a slicer is too paper thin to take them out, however, at least in the case of the condor their dps is relatively low and so is their applied dps. |

Use another missile ship and have good nav skills so you get max speed with afterburners. |

Dual prop Atron can roflstomp Condors all day, but Talwars are another story. The idea of a Malediction is fantastic and I will need to try that myself once I get Amarr frig 5. Otherwise the Maulus is always great with 2 DDA and 2 Damps with 4 warriors. I wear my goggles at night.

I know many people will now start laughting, but the ancillary adaptive resistance hardener is a suprisingly good counter to any kind of missiles or rockets. Since those things usually do only one type of damage you get after some time 60% additional resists against them by using this module. Main restrictions however are that it only works with armor tanking and that it takes a lot of cap, but I found it doable even with frigates. |

"ancillary adaptive resistance hardener" There is no module called that mate..
Anyhow what you want is a fast ship like an atron to catch and kill them.
If they have links you're prolly going to die regardless, enjoy. BYDI recruitment closed-ish |

If anyone is curious my Malediction Fit is as follows:
Internal Force Field Array I Ballistic Control System II Small Ancillary Armor Rep I
1MN Afterburner Faint Epsion Warp Scrambler I 1MN Limited MIcrowarp Drive I
Rocket Launcher II Rocket Launcher II Rocket Launcher II
Small Ancillary Current Router I Small Hydrualic Bay Thrustors I
Use CN ammo, and you can get about 100 DPS unheated. The idea is to kite at the edge of your longer scram range, with your AB overheated. That along with your armor rep, gives you a really disgusting tank. |
