I would say Star Wars would win, no one else has Star Destroyers.
But if Star Trek TNG pulled out Wesley Crusher, well then we are all DOOMED. Any spelling and grammatical errors are because frankly, I don't care!! |

Michio Kaku wrote: I say looking at the next 100 years that there are two trends in the world today. The first trend is toward what we call a type one civilization, a planetary civilization, a civilization that resembles something out of "Buck Rogers" or "Flash Gordon." A type two civilization is stellar. They consume so much energy they can play with stars. That is for example the Federation of Planets in "Star Trek." "Star Trek" would represent the typical type two civilization. Then we have type three, which is galactic like the Borg or "Independence Day" or the empire of "The Empire Strikes Back." That is a type three civilization, which is truly galactic. Now by the time you reach type two, you are immortal. Nothing known to science can destroy a type two civilization. Comets, meteors, earthquakes, even a supernova.

EVE, because explosions and advanced tech that can rip any star wars and star trek ship in half without breaking a sweat. You may gain the knowledge, but you will lose your belief, with all its mystery and comfort. If there was proof, absolute and certain, there is an afterlife, why not quit this life, and be done with it? Ponder about these things all your life, and you're a philosopher. Compared to these two giants Eve is mere cyberpunk. After all, our physics model works more like "aether" then a real vacuum. That means the technology with which earthlings at some point discovered New Eden was more or less a continuation of Jules Vernes work and secretly all that crap happened in 1905. |

I would have to say Star Trek.
Star Wars ships are mainly shield buffer ships with poor resists and they appear to rely on manually controlled turrets - of they even have turrets. Lots of them have fixed guns.
Star Trek ships are far superior. They are omnitanked, with shield buffer that can rotate the frequency and adapt (good for fighting with the Borg for example). Some ships can be equipped with ablative armor (the Defiant) and they can experience a hull breach and seal off breached sections while maintaining structural integrity.
They can cloak under just about any circumstance with more advanced units letting the ship fire while cloaked. Star Trek ships can also travel between systems via their own "warp core", hence no reliance on gate travel.
Torpedoes have very long range and can travel at warp speed, and are so powerful they cannot be used at short range.
I'd say Star Trek could kick butt around here.

Nah, they can't. They've got adaptable shields but not to that extend. otherwise the Star Fleet fleet wouldn't have been able to destroy the cube in first contact... :/
And they're capitals, so they'd be doomsdayed out of existance the moment they try and enter any of the alliance territories... There's nothing a million chinese guys can't do cheaper. |

Since more than half of us is already dark side and the other half doesn't even care enough to undock, the Sith would clealry support us so the star wars power level would be cut in half. There's nothing a million chinese guys can't do cheaper. |

EvE would win for obvious reasons.
Q was mentioned several times as being some kind of "I win button" for Star Trek. But after EvE Devs are done with them Q will become the new universal byword for being nerfed painfully into submission. Jedi and Sith are next. And after the Devs in their endless wisdom are done handing out "balance" and "justice" the people of Star Trek and Star Wars would face the people of EvE ... who will scam the **** out of them, cause them to fight among themselves by placing bounties on them en mass, cause confusion by awoxing them and hotdrop what's left.

The Eternal Emperor will unleash his Sith. The might if the Sith Empire will crush all beneath its massive, well coordinated, military power. The Federation will be brought low under the Emperor's might! The Romulans will wisely bow to the Eternal Emperor and serve him, as will the Cardasians, for they will have the wisdom to see where true power resides. The Klingons will be scattered. Their bloodlust will be their own undoing. The Borg will be in ruins under the hardened power of His Sith lords, and the Empire's talented slicers (hackers).
The Eternal Emperor will then turn his eyes towards New Eden. He will fill the hearts of Edenites with darkness unlike the likes they have ever felt. He will seduce the darkest amongst them and bring them into his Empire. The Amarr. They will finally understand the power of the Dark Side, and bow to the Emperor's will. He will find from among them those worthy to become Sith and anoint them lords over their fellow Amarr. With the Amarr as the Vanguard, led by his new Sith, the might of the Empire's military will sweep into the galaxy! The Caldari, the Gallente, the Minmatar, and the other, so called, empires will quickly fall.
All those that bow before the might of the Eternal Emperor will be granted favor. All those who stand against Him will perish in the flames of his wrath!
Long live the Emperor! Long live the Sith Empire! Watch this space.-á New exciting signature in development. |

Star Trek obviously. Their technology is far superior. Shields, much faster warp drives and standard engines (no need for gate travel), not to mention anti-matter explosives (that travel faster than light!). EvE and Star Wars ships wouldn't stand a chance! Post with your main, like a BOSS! |

"ok guys, lets put Star Trek, Star Wars, and New Eden to war. using all races/technologies/empires/etc from their own respective universes, Who wins?"
The topic got slightly heated as it went on. But after reading it came down to star wars would get pwned and startreck vs new eden would be left. topics came up as..."borg can take over a capsuleers body." and "capsuleers have neverending clones until they get disrupted "
So i am curious as to what the rest of New Eden thinks on this topic?
Who would win in an EVE vs Star Wars vs Star Trek war?

Star Trek would win. The ships in Star Trek move at tens of kilometers per second on Impulse alone, a single ship has enough weapons to wipe out a planet and they can engage at tens of thousands of kilometers. Now keep in mind ships have enough firepower to wipe out a planet, but the ships only go down to 50% shield after being hit. Some stronk resists right there.
On top of that they can fit cloaks on everything.
They'd simply wipe out all cloning centers and then kill every single pilot in EVE. |
