Why is there a +8 corp to corp standing needed? Im sure there is maybe 5 other than some 1-5 man (alt) corps that have +8 corp standing to any NPC corp and are thus able to make use of the clone jump skill. Jump clone usage is therefore rendered useless for 99% of EVE population that live in empire. I would like CCP to throw the +8 needed corp to corp standing out the window and let people who have extremely good standing with NPC corps install the jump clones in the friendly stations.
I have +10 standing with FIO but when i try to install a jump clone they tell me they don't like me. I mean WTF!!!!!! Why the hell do we have standings then for? just for refining tax discount?
Is there anyone else who shares my opinion or am i a lone voice in the desert

I've heard that the +8 required is in faction standing, not corp standing.

nope.. your corp needs a standing of 8...
your WHOLE corp, not just you.
that is.. average standings of EVERY player in your corp that has ANY standings at all.. need to be 8.
kinda too much imo . Ravenal - Fate is what you make of it. |

I think it's designed to be mainly used by 0.0 corps specifically towards Carriers/Titan use.
I've used it to move between our stations just to see how it works. Its not that exciting realy, considering you can make the journey in 10mins anyway and only use it once every 24 hours and costs isk.

I've got an idea--an idea so smart that my head would explode if I even began to know what I'm talking about

Edited by: Jago Kain on 18/12/2005 18:52:05 I'm curious as to how exactly this works.
If you have implants in a clone and jump to a new clone, can you later jump back to the clone with the implants, or is that clone destroyed when your conciousness leaves it?
Also, there is presumably no loss in skills from clone-jumping. Do you have to have a backup for each jumpclone in case, or does the standard back-up work for all? ============================ Everything you know is wrong ============================ |

Implants stay in clone for when you return.
Only need 1 'main' real clone for when you die.

Edited by: Ademaro Imre on 19/12/2005 01:11:48 OK - so when you buy a jump clone - you are buying a round trip - and two clone essentially? You buy a jump clone and when you jump there - another clone is left behind with your implants.
If you get podded - you get put into you clone taht you would have bought normally before RMR? Then to get implant back - jump to the jump clone created for you when you first made the jump?
1: Buy Clone X1 in Station X 2: Buy Jump Clone A in Station Y 3: Travel to Station Z 4: Jump to Jump Clone A. 5: Jump Clone B created in Station Z with implants (irregardless of standings and facilities) 6: Get Podded 7: Appear in Station X (Clone X1 destroyed) 8: Buy New Clone X2 9: Jump to Jump Clone B in Station Z with Impants.
Buy new jump clone.
Is this how it works?
