December 17, 2005 - It is with pleasure that ISS can announce both the reduction in docking fees at the ISS Marginis Outpost and an additional revenue stream for the outpost corporation.
The decision to reduce docking fees has been made possible because of changes to station management in Red Moon Rising. Broker fees from market transactions from now on befall the owner of the outpost.
After careful deliberation and analysis of the income resulting from broker fees over the last days, ISS believe that in the long term, broker fees and increased market activity due to bigger numbers of casual visitors to the outpost will enable eventual abolishment of docking fees.
Rebirth program The second piece of good news for shareholders in Marginis concerns the Rebirth program, which has generated additional revenue possibilities for the ISS Marginis Outpost corporation.
All corporations who have neutral or positive standings with ISS can apply for +1 standings with the Outpost corporation to make it possible to use the outpost for clone jumping. This has a one-time 25m administration fee.
The Rebirth service is meant to help local industrial corporations manage their day-to-day operations in Catch and Providence. Each application will be evaluated on a case pr. case basis with special attention to possible military abuse of jump cloning. ISS Marginis Outpost corporation reserves the right to turn down applications or cancel clone privileges without explanations.
Changes for Office Tenants - Office tenants will now have exclusive access to Factory and Laboratory facilities - All corporate office tenants in the Outpost will receive a 95% discount (+9.5 standing) on all service fees incl. docking, clone, jump clone, repair etc. - There is no administrative fee for Outpost tenants to use jump clones. - Office rents will be increasing. RMR has lifted the 1m per month limit, and rents will be set initially at 50m isk per month, reflecting the added services and discounted access to services.
Note: to apply for +1 standings with the ISS Marginis Outpost corporation, write Blade Steele or Countessa TaSessine. Chairman, ISS

I think the corp can set how much standing you need to be able to use rebirth facilities. Its just all npc corps are set to... um... 8.00+

An independant free trade base/system?
Im fairly new to this, and I experienced the "difficulties" of 0.0 space today (the paranoia/power mongering) and I think that is an amazingly great idea. Jobs a good Un.

Edited by: Dark Silver on 19/12/2005 02:56:58 The +8 is only for NPC corporations, you need both a personnal and corp standing from that corp to you of +8 in both to be able to clone jump. In player owned Stations, the owner of the station sets the requirements for clone jumping in the station management window.

We're well aware of that possibility, hence:

Just a reminder to the Eve-community that the ISS Public Stations: ISS Borealis ISS Marginis
Offer public jump clone services for a one-time administrative fee of 25m. The fees are per standing set - corporation or individual.
Message Blade Steele or Paul Steele and transmit your 25m for standings.

Here is a thought, as a public service, you guys at ISS, can create and sell Instajumps from Empire to ISS outposts. Make them cheap, I dont know, 2 Mill for the trip. Provide them with an official ISS toon, that way even if rip-off artist get into frey the 2 Mill per Set+teh fact that ISS Toon is selling will outweigh any small concerns.
This might improve your traffic from Empire. granted most people who travel there already have Instas, but opening up the market by providing reliable Instas to new customers at a token price would deff. help you out imo.

So, whats the cost to dock now? I've never docked at one cause I dont know what the price is and dont wanna get charged 20m ISK to find out that docking my freighter there kinda blows chunks. There needs to be a list of rates before I'd consider docking there.

It was about 3200 isk last time I was there, but I was not in a freighter.

Docking fee depends on your ship volume.
Look at your unpackaged ship volume in the stats. ISS outposts are set to charge 0.2 isk per m3 of unpackaged ship volume.
btw, if you try to dock, you'll get a pop up with the fee to dock. you can either accept or reject that fee. you wont dock and find out you just got released of your wallet, without you accepted it
