Hello i am CEO of IBEW and i am not sure if this is the right place to post about corp theifs, but i must post. We have just recently been cleaned out completly by CHALION. As of now he is no threat to any other corp because we won't let him out of corp,but this will change after we get several dozen bodies or he delets. This was a very well thought out plan.28 days with in my corp doing what ever was asked of him and a fair amout of donated ore. He was a uber member. We got took and we shall deal with it the best way we can. But when we release him he will be looking for another corp to steal from...be wary kill him on sight

Make a petition. Corp thieves are not accepted by CCP imho.

they are accepted by ccp. as are scams.
it is an option in the game and the game mechanics can prevent corp thieves.

My main concern at this point is other corps being taken by him. As i know we will not see what was taken ever again. All though he has a secure password protected container with bpo's he can't open.(oops posted with my 2nd accout :)

might as well just let him go... he can petition you re-instating his roles to keep him in the corp and the GM's will remove him to an NPC corp straight away.

The only way to insure your corp does not get crippled by someone stealing from you is to keep valuables on personal characters. BPO's should NEVER be kept in corp hangers, money should never be kept exclusivly in the corp wallet.. keep some in the CEO's wallet for example...
Corp theft can be prevented or detered if you keep your stuff under lock and key... Sorry for your loss but this is a lesson you wont soon forget.

If you keep giving him roles so he can't leave, in the eyes of ccp you are in the wrong and he isn't for stealing your stuff.

another way to keep bpo's safe and still be used by corp is to have a vote to lock down the blueprint,,,,they can still be researched and manufactured from but no one can take them out of the hanger then.
we learned this the hard wy as well

totaly agreed. Lock the stuff down and you wont have a problem w/ the bpo's. Dening conainer take rights and using secure audit log contianers also is a good way to prevent corporate cleanouts..
also... fire your recruiter..

Well as it seems ccp in the infinite wisdom has pull the theif out of the corp. Yes you were right viewd as an exploit,or better ccp agrees such acts as stealing? I am very dissipoianted with there actions.I do take a blame for giving a trust.I am guessing that if your not a theif,or priate there is no "player protection".Any how proper changes have been made to make sure this will not happen again...And Chalion.......I know you are reading this goading....enjoy it ...savor it...for now cause i will see you again!! And you can petition that as well.. Thanks again every one for the information.

The same thing happened in my old corp,a guy stole a shed load of minerals and the CEO kept giving him roles so he could'nt leave and tried to sort it out with him but in the meantime he went crying to ccp and was immeadiately removed from the corp and the CEO and a director were given official warnings for giving him roles....it sucks but you live and learn i guess 
It wont be forgotton tho....

You can of course do what i've done in old corps and message every corp this person joins in the future letting them know that he is a corp thief.

let him go and check his character every day and inform his new CEO of what he did.
That said, he is probley an alt or someone just bought the character to steal and then sell on

2 things u cannot keep someone in the corp if they want to leave and have renouced roles - this corp theif can petition CCP and have u up on exploit harrassment petition and CCP come down hard u have to accept it and let him move
