Well, for some reason, the PayByCash link on the account renewal section of "My Account" isn't working. I've tried several ways to get it to work with no luck. This is particularly alarming due to the fact that my account comes due tomorrow and I don't have access to a Credit Card to change my billing type. I've even tried going directly to the PayByCash website but they redirect me back here saying I need to access them thru EVE-Onlines' account management system. Any suggestions or answers that will help me keep my account up and running will be GREATLY appreciated!!! I don't think CCP has been bad, but for some reason, Father Christmas has given CCP a lot of coal recently. Last week, there were hardware issues that caused connectivity issues, as well as some external network issues doing the same. RMR went out last week, and as with any patch, there are some kinks to work out. To add to that, there has been a weekend-spanning issue with our billing provider, which is what you are facing right now. We're doing what we can, in conjunction with Median, to get everything resolved. Check back later in the day and if your billing issue persists, send me an e-mail . I'll see what I can do to assist. kieron Community Manager, EVE Online

Thanks, Kieron....I've just checked again on my home PC, and the PayByCash link still doesn't work. I'll check again later this afternoon...hopefully it will work then. If not I'll definately send you that email "The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with watches you shave his face in the mirror every morning."

PayByCash mixed my account that I have been using for the last 2.5 years with the one I cancelled a year ago. You are not the only one that has some problems, but when I have a problem with PayByCash, sending an e-mail (was going to type EvE-mail ) generally helps. They fix your problem with in 1-2 days. ------------------------------------------ Member of the [23] Follower of the Blood Revolution. Sani Sabik.

Just now sent PBC an email too, so we'll see how it shakes out. Thanks "The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with watches you shave his face in the mirror every morning."

Well kieron.....I emailed you (still waiting on an answer), but it's now after 6pm my time and after midnite server time so I guess there's naught for me to do but bid everyone ingame a fond farewell with a kind warning to everyone to keep in mind that the present instability WILL pass if you all just be patient. I, myself will be waiting on the sideline (out of game it seems) for someone at CCP to fix the links on the EVE-O website so I can pay for my account. Hope to see you all in the not so distant future...fly safe everybody! "The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with watches you shave his face in the mirror every morning."

ThorsHmr, be sure to keep the longest skill you have on your account in training. Being a Paybycash user myself, I hope it gets fixed soon.

Even nicer would be if they started to accept PayPal and/or MoneyBookers. I would rather pay that way, than with my card.

Edited by: Caerleus on 20/12/2005 14:09:24 I also had the same problem, but i managed to write a webpage that will allow you to sign on to PayByCash and submit your details. You will need to view the source of your 'Subscriptions' page and obtain the two values "userid" and "accountname" from the form that is not being processed correctly. These can be found at line 215 and 216 of the source code respectively. Im providing the webpage to those that wish to use it and renew their accounts. No information is stored by the webpage. Your accounts are safe because the password is not requested. It has worked a treat for my accounts. If ISD or the GM's feel that this webpage should be removed I will be happy to do so.Link to Renewal Portal It's not enough that we do our best; sometimes we have to do what's required.

Thanks Caerleus, I tried your link and it worked....right up to the second page of PayByCash's website....at which point it deadended and wouldn't go any further in the account renewal process. Thank you for the try, though. Honestly, all it would take is for CCP's webmaster to take a 10 minute break and fix the link on the My Account page....that's all the problem is, the link's broken....you can see that when you hold your cursor over the button and look at the link text in the bottom left of the internet window (in firefox). But we'll see what happens.... "The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with watches you shave his face in the mirror every morning."

Hmm..odd. Maybe its a Firefox thingy because it worked perfectly with IE. The info is only sent thru to the first PBC page anyway, the info to the second PBC page will be generated and sent via that page, so there might be problems with Firefox and PBC. If you have IE (grrrr), try it again and see what happens. I renewed both mine with no problems using IE. C It's not enough that we do our best; sometimes we have to do what's required.

this is a problem that is existing longer, I got around it by looking up the source code of the eve site and paste it into wordpad. then just change the link (it's www.pbc.com/........) into www.paybycash.com/.... fixed it for me . Save this as html and open it in browser. It will be without all the pic's but you can click the link and it works (for me at least). I could put it on line for you but the you'll pay for my account lol, so you'll have to look for it yourself

The GMs and I have sent a couple e-mails to the website managers in an attempt to get our part of the PBC issue resolved. I hope this will be resolved in the very near future. kieron Community Manager, EVE Online

Edited by: Maltrox on 20/12/2005 21:02:50 Thanks Kieron, I hope so as well... I have five days to renew my subscription or I will get booted off. Since Christmas is right around the corner, that makes three days. (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are not regular business days) I can get to PayByCash's site manually... but lo and behold, must come from Eve Online. ARRG! -edit- The renewal portal posted above worked like a charm. A bit of hassle of five minutes to locate the necessary info but well worth it :)
