The EVE Cluster is currently starting up and cannot service your logon
attempt at this time.ááPlease try again shortly.
WTF is up with this? It shows 2k+ players and i cant log in!

It could be with the huge player numbers, the Devs have turned this option on to only allow people to log in ques so not to overload the server

Be patient fs.
If you all tried to log in at once you'd be sat there fuming even longer waiting for the server to come back up after you'd crashed it.
In fact you could crash it all day trying to get in...
Now shh and be glad your not at work

Just wait till you get to the character login screen and click your picture and it says FAILED then locks up your pc.

It is called "throttled login" so 8 thousands players don't hammer the servers and crash them just trying to login...as people connect you will get in sooner....maybe you will be lucky and be one of the ones who gets through the throttleing sooner then others....

Ok .. then I'm losing all that 0.0 NPC luv because I can't get in! Erm .. nope .. only got a wolf ... it aint going to take down any commander spawns.

But this throtteled login takes now 1 hour allready after the downtime. After 60 minutes 5600 players are online - how long will it take till all users are online (including me)? The next DT is approaching...

I get this after every reboot or DT.
The only way I can actually manage to log in within the first hour or two after a DT/reboot is to try to connect about a dozen times in succession as quickly as possible.
When that doesnt work, the remaining solution is to watch the player online count grow while I sit at desktop and sob.
