So I was doing a little exploring in some nice scenic 0.0 space and looking to drop off some nice weapons for you all to blow one another up with. I get to my destination, knowing that I am not really thrilled with going into a 1 station drop zone with the balance of my goods. So I warp in something outside 15kms and see a beautiful warp drive disrupter sitting outside the station.
Impressive!
As I ponder what to do I warp off, create a safe point and warp back to the safe point. I then figure, well, lets warp in at 100km and take a bit of a boo at the handiwork of these crafty people (there are 3 or 4 others in the system). Loh and behold, somehow I end up sucked in and am 3km from the station - miraculously I do not come out of cloak.
I proceed to have a minor heart attack but manage to stay calm enough to 'drive' out of the field (I of course tried to warp out but got told no can do). Once I drive out, I warp back to safe and ponder the universe!
So anyways, thanks for the interesting tactics! Best part of them, the stinking warp disrupter is placed right where you have to come out of the station. Very good technique I must say.
In the end, I was about to go to bed anyway, there were only 3 in the system by then and so I went and docked. Dropped off some stuff to sell; added a bit more risk premium to the price mind you! The 3 were in the station. Knowing that I figured rather than wait till tomorrow and not know what was outside (with potentially many more people), I got right back out, drove out of the bubble and left. Had there been no one in I would not been stressed about this part but with the 3 in there it smelled like a nice sneaky 'find out when they are in' so they can hope out and exit gank me. Didnt happen fortunately.
So thanks for keeping it interesting.
Now go shoot someone else would ya...preferably with those nice shiny weapons I dropped off for ya!

And what makes you think those guys were pirates? In 0.0, there are no pirates, there are just PVPers.

VIRII, CDC, FoE, Burn Eden, PC, etc...
There are definitely pirates, thank you... ----------------------------------
Industrialist. I build it. You buy it. You break it and buy another one. Market domination through ingue ferrogue. (I did this and could have stopped it.) |

I don't make a big distincition in my mind between pirate or a pvp person. That is because in my case, I am sure both are dying to rip a hole in my Cheetah. If 0.0 was nothing but pvp, then since I am in a ship without so much as a gun on it then they should just let me pass.....uh, but I know that is not going to happen. Since someone stuck a warp disrupter outside a station, to me that would imply pirate - it basically is a means to force someone to not warp away and hence likely get blown up at a station. By 'forcing' someone to fight, that seems more pirate in nature like to me.
Anyway, I am sure this seems pretty routine for most people but it was a first for me and I was impressed. Now I just wish some people would start buying that stuff to justify my trip! Cmon, you know you want some new weapons on that ship of yours.

Ya, out of all the times Ive been attacked in 0.0, even by Teddys, Ive never been "ransomed". Burn Eden are PVPers, VIRII are PVPers, FoE is a ******* alliance of PVPers, and most of them dont even ransom in low sec... shall I go on?

I think I'll agree with Trey, 0.0 is about PVP, not piracy. Don't tell me piracy is PVP, that would be like saying that pillows are the same thing as assault rifles.

Look into my eyes. Look into my eyes, the eyes, the eyes, not around the eyes, don't look around my eyes, look into my eyes... you're under... pirating is a myth, when you awake you will leave Jita with an Obelisk full of Zydrine... 3,2,1 you're back in the room...

Yep, hope it works out for you. More population in 0.0 is always good, in the end it gives us more to shoot at :)

Shoot at me if you like....part of doing business. That said, I don't expect to even be seen much now that I have gotten the hang of flying this cheetah so please, shoot, shoot a lot, shoot a lot of other people, blow stuff up, then maybe you will buy some of those nice medium beam lasers, cap rechargers, t2 turrets etc I have conveniently placed at your nearest station

I only pirate in 0.0 and I made alot of cash on it. But sometimes if your alone you don't always have the time to ransome, b4 backup arrive. But if there is time for it and the pilots yells it in local or ask me b4 he goes on(trying) I usually take em. I dont ask for much, just to get along.
Best Regards DeMundus

0.0 is pvp. some people choose to pvp in a pirate style, others dont. thats correct. semantics ftw
