Hi to all who read this!
Background: I spent a few weeks researching what my next game would be and I fell in love with the complexity and maturity of this game. I decided to skip the free trial and purchase a subscription after it was clear that this was the game for me. I have great reputation in the games that I have played and every guild/clan/corp. I have taken to has eventually asked me to become a leader.
Intention: I am now in the process of planning out my future in game. I intend to level 3 characters simultaneously (with 24/7 training) in order to maximise my involvement within a corporation/pirating group with minimal time invested. Although this is my intention, I am unsure what life is like in a corporation so I do not know what 3 "types" of characters I should/want to be creating.
Disclaimer: Being so new to the game I would hate to suck resources from a group (I like to pull my own weight) so I would like to have at least 1 character that can generate enough ISK for my characters. This is to safe guard my personal survival financially in case the corporation/pirate group did not work out. I am assuming these ISK generating skills could be applied equally to a corporation.
Who I am: 24 year old from the East Coast of USA. I play 7 days a week in the evenings and of course a little more on the weekend. I have played games since 2000 and I am a dedicated player especially when it comes to clan/guild/corporation survival & welfare. Most, but not all, of the clan/guild/corps I have run with have eventually asked me to become a leader of some form within them.
What I would like: I am looking for a "Big Brother" entity that has a highly advanced skill/knowledge of the game. This can either be an individual or corporation. I am aware that most 1337 corporations would not want a "n00b" in the ranks of greatness so I am prepared to fly solo for as long as it takes to earn my place should that be the case.
Premeditated counter response: My guess is that most responses would most likely lean towards me joining a corporation that accepts low SP players and working my way up through them and then on to bigger and better corporations. I do not like this mentality as it leaves these corps as leveling corps only. If I intend to leave a group eventually then I would not join in the first place. I see that as disrespectful unless I can somehow give more than I can take (which is very hard while leveling).
Why do I post this way?: I chose to put my application like this because chances are a corporation can size me up better than I can size them up this early in my career.

P.S. I have no cookies you would want because I'm vegan (extreme vegitarian) and I don't even like the stupid cookies I have. BUT.. my trail mix brings all the boys to the yard!

Join an academy corp or one that accepts newbies.
Don't even think of it as sucking resources, everybody was new once. When you are new you take resources and freebies, when you've been here awhile you will pay those favors forward tenfold to other new players.

All because I made a joke about Bill's you know what being Micro-soft...

Yea the game is pretty Toony. Until the content gets old the game is pretty fun though.
Most people don't know it, but the video was staged. Still can't believe he got as famous as he did...

Bleh. Called my bluff
The (mock) truth is this is the first computer I've ever had. My real "Daddy" gave it to me as a hand me down 2 years ago. I finally upgraded from Windows 95 and bought the game recently. I'm not very good at computers.
Example: It took me about a year to figure out that the cup holder was where you put CD's and that the mouse goes on the desk and not the floor (still doesn't make sense but whatever).
Well... all that being said I'm really just looking for a shortcut in the game. Chances are if I'm gonna suck in the game I could at least bring a strong corporation down with me.
As far as the games I come from: [First Person Shooters] Unreal Tournament 99 & 2004 (iCTF & ONS) [MMO] World of Warcraft - 60 Priest
If you or anyone would really like to check my story I can provide background check interviews over Ventrilo. I'm not going to post those clan/guild/corps Vent info on a forum though.
Speaking of Ventrilo, I have my own 30 man I pay for. Chances are the right Corp/pirate group already has one, but as I stated before "I like to pull my own weight".
Dear Mr. Sleepy Weasel,
Thanks for showing interest in being my manly figure around the house. I appreciate the offer about showing me how to make women moan in bed too. I'm sure one day after posting my profile on all these damn websites trying to get a date will pay off. And then I can slip her the deisel weasel while she's asleepy. Of course if she doesn't like it and tells the police, I'll resort to being a Sucka on the Run.
Sincerly,
Sucka
