As I've noticed, with the recent changes to ice mining, the price of raw ice has gone up. However, I'm still looking to make a massive profit.
Is it worth training into Ice Processing to eliminate waste from refining and sell the refined materials, or with the price of ice going higher, should I just sell raw? |

cannot comment on profits but would mention one thing: to have good refining rate you need to reduce faction/corp taxes which needs you to have enough standings with station owners.
Simple training of skill is not enough |

Take raw ice value, get your refine amount (what you get column) look up the prices and get the sum amount. Deduct any transportation amount from the sum total of the refine. Now take the modified sum total of refine, and deduct the value of the raw ice. If the number is negative, it is better to sell the ore raw. if it is positive, sell the refine.
The closer you get to perfect refine, the more profit you turn. |

Had a couple of cubes of Ice to refine last night and it's market estimated value was around 850,000 ISK.
Refined it, and the estimation of the products was 1,150,000 ISK.
You make the call. |

Simple math seems to be a problem for the OP, might wanna break it down further.
With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Problem is my current spreadsheet and refining skills for ice plus station standings net me a negative value. I was wondering about the profit increase from working on processing and continuing on standings. |

At the time of this post, the refine value of blue ice is 204k per block. |

Generally it's better to refine and sell the isotopes however some products like stront don't move really fast. The main benefit of getting ice refining skills is the massive reduction in volume the products have compared to the blocks themselves. |

Yes. That will improve things. How could it not ?

Depends on the spread between the ice and the products.
Assuming Gallente Ice, and faked numbers:
Ice = 100k/block
oxytopes (300) = 300/unit ozone (25) = 100/unit h. water (50) = 100/unit stront (1) = 1500/unit
You'll never make a profit on the refined materials. One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

Do you realize how many times this has changed just in the 3 1/2 years I've been playing ?
This is rather irrelevant to the issue tbh. |

The profit of choosing one alternative over the other always depends entirely on the prices and costs/efficiency involved.
So there is no way to avoid grabbing the latest numbers to find the best alternative for the present |

If you are refining in a standard 50% station the ice processing skill will only net you 0.5% more yield so I don't really believe its worth while (you need that stupid science skill to level 5 so it takes a while to get). 6.67 Standing will however net you a lot more .
As mentioned before the volume of ice products are a lot less than ice block so just from a logistics point of view its better to refine. |
