I have been searching and searching for information on production of Dust 514 equipment for ages. My questions are:
1. Can you use blueprints to create weapons for dust? 2. How do you transfer blueprints from dust to eve so you can start production? 3. How do you sell your gear on the market? 4. If you do make it, how will it be stored and accessed?
I have a few more questions but i think this is a good start for now. |

Why do you want to produce this stuff - dust is leaking players so fast - that within 6 month there will be no longer any one to buy it. |

Where do people get its losing players? I have been playing for months and instead of losing players I have seen an increase. Went from 20k 3 months ago to staying steady at 27-30k (depending on what time you are on). The game is a rough diamond and people talk **** on developers that try something ambitious because they have a rough start. Its not like they can just use someone else's tech for these steps to speed it up. They are making a masterpiece. Would you have rushed Rembrandt? Or what about Tesla? Didn't think so let them work and if you go on about them severing the bleeding arm... prove that it's bleeding first. |

Didn't Tesla talk to pigeons, dig ditches and generally get man-handled by the Wizard of Menlo? He should have been rushed.
Too bad, he was ahead of his own time. I think he is still ahead of our time..

Well, I got into to Eve from Dust specifically to create the weapons, modules, and suits for Dust corp. If it dies, then I will mostly likely leave Eve as well.
I know that feature isn't here, and probably won't be for a while, but I am preparing for it by stockpiling resources.
Also, Dust isn't dead, it has what some people think is a small player base, but that base is actually fairly average with other mid tier console shooters. |

And Tesla tanks ... don't forget the Tesla tanks ...
Edison was a great manager and marketer (he had what, like a few hundred employees), and well, pretty good at inventing things too, I guess.
Tesla was *ages* ahead of his time, and well, not that great of a marketer... to the point where he didn't care so much that people were using his patents for stuff (e.g. radio) and taking the credit (Marconi... IIRC) One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

IMO infantry gear production needs to be a central part of the long term plan. Without it, Dust won't have any kind of interesting market, and without it, the isk barrier stays in place, really muting or dampening the incentives for and the effects of any Eve-Dust collaboration. Fighting is Magic |

the markets are separate. In part to stop people like me flooding Dust with billions. (I'm a bad dust player.)
As for the gear, I'm surprised it's purchasable. As there's no transfer mechanism. And the market in Dust is 'it costs this much'. No orders to buy from. Steve Ronuken for CSM 9!-á I'm starting early :) Handy tools and an SDE conversion Twitter: @fuzzysteve on Twitter |

First of all, look at the platform it's on. Not the greatest.
Secondly, new platform coming up soon.
Owners of said platform always looking for new games to feed the hungry, huddled masses and separate them from their minimum wage. This starting to sound familiar ?
Finally -- where's the much promised, full connection to EVE ? Nowhere in sight. In fact, it's so far off the radar CCP is already moving on to bigger and, possibly, better things. You've heard of "Valkyrie", right ?
As for the console in question, new, hot and juicy games are already in the pipeline for the said platform -- such is life in the console gaming market, because players will always go for the next new thrill. Always has, always will.

LOL,
Every year around this time, all the students have gone back to school, and are still settling into there new routines. Many of them are gamers, or should I say, most online gamers are also students, their gaming activity drops off at this time of year, every year. Until they are settled in and get used to their new schedules, then it takes time to coordinate available game time with online friends before that activity starts to rise again, usually between mid novenber and X-mas.
All online gaming activity hits a slump this time of year, every year. I find it very amusing every year when players use this slump to predict the down turn of a specific game. Dust is not dieing, EVE is not dieing, it is just the seasonal slump we see in all games, every year at this time.
A few months ago I was seeing the number of online players in EVE steady between 45,000-50,000 for several months at the times I was online, now it is down to 30,000-35,000 at those same times. We see this every year, it is a seasonal slump, not a sign the game is dieing. Just as we see a high point in May and June when players are out of school and the weather is not yet nice enough to spend much of their time outside. These are well known seasonal trends that affect all online gaming equally. Yes numbers are down right now, but they are down for every online game at this time of year. |
