Do you have get your agent stuff every day to have a chance of getting one of the new bpos or is that just to increase your daily rps?
Basically what im asking is can if I leave my agent and go do other things (his mails will stop), will I still have a chance of getting a t2 bPO or do i have to keep doing his missions to keep him 'alive'?

no need for the missions unless you're out for the extra day's worth of RP. BPOs are given out no matter if you do the missions or not, they're just there to increase your amount of 'tickets' you gain per day in the lottery.

I've been told that when you actively run misions for a little while you incresae your chances fo getting a bpo.... At least, that's what i'll be doing.

I still get points even though i have stopped bothering him (and he stopped bothering me) a long time ago.
But note this, there are plans to change the T2 BPO seeding from a lottery into an auction where u use your R&D points (luckily no isk) to bid on T2 BPO's, so perhaps it's wise to atleast keep doing the easy ones to get extra points.

The only reason to do missions with regards to research agents is to keep your standing up, but you don't have to do missions for that particular agent, just his/her faction.
But yeah, you really don't have to put forth any effort to get a T2 BPO. In my opinion this is a massive flaw in the system as a whole, since people who actually WANT to make their characters into science/research types are being shut out of their rewards.
But that's just my opinion.

I am also counting on the RP auctions as i never will be the lucky winner of the lottery
I do run the missions, but thats cause i now have easy access to the daily spammer (agent). I wish for it to be true it increases your chances in getting a BPO but i fear those are just rumors.
Still, every day i log in and cruise to my agent after he tells me "yet again" that he has terrible news

CCP are NOT CHANGING the Lottery to an auction.
They are ADDING an auction to the Lottery.
Go Here, and read this:

T2 BPO's exists in very different quantities. Some old ones only have 8 of each while most have 20. Recently, modules have had more and Tech 2 charges/missiles will most certainly have more of each.
A rough estimate of new Tech 2 blueprints distributed in Red Moon Rising is ... uhm, 1500? The Tech 2 ships alone are about 500.
We've also been thinking about auctioning out more Tech 2 blueprints as you may know, but the latest twist is that it's not for ISK but for Research Points. I think personally that sounds acceptable.
Just for conversational value, we could say 5 of each ship BPO and 10 of each module would go into an Research Point auction.
This is of course only a stopgap solution to compensate for the increased demand of new players - till Next-Gen Research comes in, which is already being designed and scheduled for Kali.
Senior Producer EVE Online
Oveur said that they would auction MORE BPOs.
