Hi guys,
I put in my first factory job (since RMR came in) last night after getting one of those new juicy ammo bpos and I made a mistake on the batches..
I tried to find the cancel/uninstall button and to my shock and horror. I found NOTHING!!
I'm kinda worried here because I'd like to see my bpo again maybe before the end of this month.
Has anyone found a way to eject a job?
Thank you, - N3rvous

Can't be bothered trying to find links. Let me just sum up:
There is no cancel button. There won't be a cancel button. Just don't make any mistakes.

I know from a gamemaster, that they forgot to programe this cancel button. They will fix this.

That game master is contradicted by the developers, who've been quite adamant that it will not be fixed because it's working. They don't want a cancel button.

Plz nooooo!! This can't be right. No cancel button? C'mon now, everybody makes mistakes in his batches sooner or later. For example forgetting missile makes 100 per batch. Or that a freighter bpo is 8 weeks per ME research cycle.
Give us us that cancel button, plz? Pretty plz?

With the exception of a cancel/eject button on the labs, its better not to have one on the production side. The reason being, is that now, when you start something, u must have all the mins available for it, and when u start it, all the minerals are taken out of your hanger. Therefore, if you did cancel it, you would loose all those mins.
The thing that I dont like about the new factories, is that you have to wait until the entire # of batches completes before you can get anything from it...they dont eject each batch when it completes...:(

A corp mate petitioned the fact that he had accidentally queued a BP for ME research for a massive ammount of time ... GM's responded with the fact that they knew about the problem and woul dbe adding a cancel button in the future.

Yes, because the gm's know better than the dev's...

The GM's in this case are imo pretty opinion smarter than the devs bring back that luvable cancel button!

Its hard to believe such an option does not exist, say for example you place an ME on a Tech2 BPO for x amount, that simple mistake is a research of god knows how long since ME's on Tech2's are ridiculous, lets say a year+
seriously now, I can understand a mistake, a simple one, but to pay a years price on it... Where is the Quality Assurance team? ================================================= [Please support my 'AFK Indicator' idea!!]

Well, I didn't see this thread either and just made the same mistake. I also petitioned. Set a 1 run copy of a light missile in and made the mistake of doing max runs (100). Quote tells you materials and skills needed, cost but not time needed. 86 friggin days with no way to stop it. Don't **** down my back and tell me it's rainin |

If I'm not mistaken any job that runs more than a week gets automatically ejected as far as research is concerned... or not accepted at all.

Well, seeing as I have some research jobs in the lab that will finish January 23, I'd say that's not true. (About it not being accepted.)
If it does get kicked out after 1 week I'm going to be highly annoyed, since I won't be here to reset it and the quote said it would continue until the 23rd at which time it'd be completed. -----

max lab time for ME research anyway is 30 days. So, if your research ME cycle time is 10 hours (say for a torp with Metallurgy 5) the most cycles you can request is 72, any more and it won't let you and pops up a "no more than 30 days" message.
At most then, your bpo might be locked in for a month. Still, annoying. Definitely will train us all to be careful. If you really need a slot, you can always train up for another...you can have up to 11 now.

GM's have the nber power of cancelling jobs, they also have the super-nber power of replacing lost items.
That's good enough for me to petition them to do it for me.
If they claim Dev's are going to put a cancel button there, they'll just have to be your cancel buttons.
------I would like to remind people that GM's time is limited, so please don't harress them by deliberatly doing this, they work to help us out-----

Hi I have several very valuable bpos which r stuck in lab slots at uphallant fed navy because i installed them on slots that were already used because they do not refresh themselves in the interface. This has caused me considerable inconvenience and loss.Is there any chance u could remove some of the worst ones for me from the pending queue where some r in research for 90 days regards crom
Hi I'm afraid that this is not the right category for this type of petition. The right category is the other category where incidents like these must be filed in. You can file an other category petition by sending us an email at [email protected] /Cheers

Pardon my typo earlier, I meant 1 month, not 1 week.

There should be ONE queue line for research and ONE for manufacturing for each station.
Each job should be held at PENDING status until a slot becomes free. When a slot is free, the first job in Queue should be assigned to that slot.
If a job is canceled, I see no reason why the system can't decide how many of the initial minerals/items have been used up and eject the rest, then place the first PENDING job into that free slot.
Why is that so hard to do?
