This is the only game i have problems with and only since the RMR expansion.
Sometimes 3 times a day or sometimes i can play all day with no problems.
When they strike i may be docked and chatting, mining or npc fighting.... it makes no difference what i do and seems completely random.
This never happens when not playing EVE or when playing any other game.
I am using a ATI Radeon 9700 pro, at 1st when i had problems i looked for newer drivers and found i missed out some in october so installed them (after a full un-install) but they did not affect or help my problem.
After speaking in help channel another 2 people in there said they have EXACT same problem.
What happens is the monitor all of a sudden will say either "no input" or "input selected not compatible" whilst it says this you can still hear the game being played.
Then if worse when it crashes and you turn the monitor off and on sometimes you get the blue screen of death which does a memory dump and says something along the lines of "problem with ATI2DVAG was stuck in an infinite loop and computer was closed down to stop any harm".
Sometimes the VPU recover kicks in and game works again.
Anyway i know it sounds like a problem at my end but NO OTHER GAME gives this problem.
Also like i say just since RMR patch.... just tonight in help channel 2 people replied with similiar/identical problems which made me think maybe it is definitely the game and not my computer for sure.
Anyway this post is to ask how many others have any problems with there GFX card switching off there monitor or crashing in this game!
I know it won't be many so really only reply if you have the same problem.
I am not really interested in replies saying the usual update your stuff or my card is dodgey as i know everything is fine and BTW i aint got it overclocked atm.
I just wanna know how many other peeps have these random drop-outs.

Sounds like your graphics card is overheating or crashing.
Check you have enough airflow around it & even try running with the side off your PC, Also try updating the drivers to the newest version as I had a few problems with earlier ATi drivers causing GPU restart messages. << Insert whitty sig here >>

it's defo not my gfx card at this end as no other games does it happen in!
everything is up to date and in this wether there is no way it could be overheating as most the time i have the sides off due to swapping HDD's, also i sit in front of an electric bar fire as even the central heating dont heat the house up in this weather here.

EVE has proven to be much more stressful on the graphics card than most other games. - Proud member of the [23].

EVE is a CPU-intensive game, more so than most other games. Try running a CPU burn-in test. ---------- |

I had loads of problems with the ATI CCC drivers (the ones that need MS NET installed).
I tried numerous versions and eventually went back to the non CCC version and 99% of the probs vanished.
So i would suggest getting the cat unistaller from ati site, and the current non CCC driver.
Hope it helps .
