I got an idea from reading alot in the Hacs and CS threads, what if CCP Fozzie and gang installed cap booster cargo bays into all combat ships? Kind of like capital ships have their fuel bays and ore ships got their ore bays ect.
one issue is though if ccp made a specialized bay with set amount of size not all players would agree on what size of the bay is balanced or imbalanced.
Another is what if people want to have large or so cap boosters on a medium size ship?
I dont know if it would lag the game down more with more windows to pop open when you dock to refit and stuff when you put in your ammos and charges. |

So what are benefits of your idea?
Negative side is that devs will have to spend their precious dev time that they could use in a more meaningful and productive way. Opinions are like assholes. Everybody's got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks. |

well a ammo cargo bay in combat ships would make sense with a smaller general purpose cargo bay Tech 3's need to be multi role ships not cruiser hulls with battleship tank and insane resists ABC's are clearly T2 in all but name AB's need a buff-á like a big mass reduction ... module tiercide FTW role based instead of tiers please. |

As sweet as it sounds does it come at a price. Every ship with a cap booster bay would need to be fitted to make use of it and thereby limits the possibilities. Not every fitting requires a cap booster or an ASB. It is bad enough that we have ships with bonuses to active tanking, which already forces a player to use a specific fitting together with the hull. As a result, when you see a ship with a bonus to active tanking do 9 out of 10 ships have one just as you would expect them, and the 1 out of 10 is a fail fit. Hulls need to stay as flexible as possible and should not be pressed into fulfilling specific tasks, roles or to follow a specific fitting. Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling. |
