1. Seriously, tho, read all the posts on L4 missions and you'll see people complain about two things (which are one and the same, really) : 2. - The need to bring an entire gang to complete a mission. 3. But since you need to be 5 pilots to be sure to complete it, then the reward should be 5 x 5 = 25 million. 4. Face it people, normal space offers lots more tactical options than DS.
1. No... most of the people ive seen complaining about L4s are, im sorry to say, noobs... Very rarely have i seen an experienced player complain about a mission unless there really was something wrong. This is not true of the majority of the L4 complaints - they are usually whines because people didnt use proper tactics...
2. an entire gang can be only two pilots... which is the way i usually do missions. One dedicated tanker that doesnt have that much offensive capability and one dedicated remote booster that doesnt have much offensive capability either... I always manage the time bonus and i find the missions moderatelly difficult, meaning i have to refit properly for this mission and that (hardeners mostly)... i dont have a single setup to kill everything.
3. nope.. lots of people solo theese missions, its tedious and requires some true skill... i do it the lazy way and have a gang of two. Once i get someone else to help me out i tell him to fit gankasetup and then i finish the missions like the angel extravaganza in less than 30 minutes and most other non-multilevel-deadspace mission takes about 10 - 15 minutes. If i get a fourth gang member he becomes a dedicated pickup artist.. cleaning the space of cans. My skills (lvl5 lp skills), the quality and level of my agent (L4, q 19) and the security status of the system (0.3) yield me an average of 5-15k lp per mission. The bounty isnt that great ... but it varies alot by missions. Three people doing an extravaganza in 30 minutes for a total of 10k lp and about 5-7 mills (iirc) per pilot is quite good... Note here its the loyalty points that will get you the most isk in the end...
4. No, no, no... having deadspace adds tactics.. its a different environment for you to fight in and thus you have to adapt.. meaning ADOPTING to the environment appropriate for the current situation... THATS called tactics.
Word of advice... ask people if they think something is wrong before stating it is... the forums are mostly full of whiners because unfortunatelly people would much rather complain than give praise... but then im guessing that those capable of giving praise are all busy doing the missions anyway.
IT is VERY common for people to complain about new stuff (new mission in RMR) because most of the times its something NEW that kills the pilot... not the fact that the mission was borked but basic ignorance and overevaluation of own skills. Never underestimate npcs and you will do fine.
i will grant you that a few people have reported strange behaviour... like the whole level aggroing ... sometimes there is an explanation.. sometimes there isnt. So please report that strange behaviour... ASK and respect the npcs... they deserve it theese days.
