I doubt the investors lost much, though they may be feeling sore, since it seems even your own alt wouldn't send you a penny.
So I put on my weekend boots had a chat with two of the "investors" today. Oh how funny is life with all of its coincidences, or perhaps not. At first I didn't connect the dots, and it wasn't until he mentioned Greedy Guristas that I thought to check the investor's page (http://greedyguristasbond.wordpress.com/investors/).
Conversation with Monty Tycoon regarding his loan request: http://pastebin.com/BCUwr6J3
I feel a bit bad for agreeing to not post his alt's name and then doing this, I didn't think it was possible to shoot yourself in the foot this much.
The comical coversation I had with Zumbar Excubitor: http://pastebin.com/d4MDpkCW
Here's the funny part.

n++[ 2013.09.08 13:29:09 ] Zumbar Excubitor > not good with paint
Not good with paint indeed, and that took him around 20 minutes. Notice, the same mistake a very prolific Jita wallet screenshot spammer consistently repeats, he has neglected to remember that the text should not reach right to the edge of the columns. Also note the bad cropping has revealed that the number of digits in his balance column did not change after he had supposedly just given 11 digits worth of ISK away.
So yes, Greedy is certainly an adjective you could use for this person, as is impatient, incompetent and half-assed. However, pirate is a word I would certainly not use in conjunction with the person, nincompoop has a nice ring to it though. .

ok ok I made several mistakes I admit that. I will up my game for the next one. You gotta admit though that the language I use in chat with Elizabeth is pretty awesome!
I think you win this one. But I will upload to you the final tow of this scam, 2,100,000,000. Not great, but still good enough for a first one.
The "black" part is the real main ;)

And, please contact me regarding the "full collateral for a ripped *******" deal, thx. I'm concerned that you're effecting the MD culture. I'm not sure there is a great deal left of MD culture for anyone to effect. I think one of the points you made is relevant to this. You said that MD needs more active policing. Flakeys countered by saying it didn't do us much good when we had it. But I agree with you and I believe Flakeys is giving the old MD too hard a review. We had active policing, we had lots of uncollateralised loans, we had more discussion and we had more of a community. We didn't actually have more scams than we have now and investors made a lot more isk from their investments. The move to lazy/easy mode investing and a full collateral or GTFO attitude has a cost, no matter how prudent it may be, because it has removed much of the activity that fueled MD. I'm vaguely considering starting an uncollateralised character trading IPO. I have some reputation, particularly to those who know **** about character trading, skill and a long history of successfully doing it. It'd certainly be an interesting IPO. But I'm not sure if I want to put the effort in to actually commit myself to making more isk. |

It would be interesting to see if and how much would get filled uncollateralised seeing how MD has changed over the last years.Those who did large uncollateralised like me tend to avoid it these days as there is no ''need'' any more to place yourself in that position and the new crew is so used to having collateral that even a 10 B loan looks like a huge risk to them.
I know you have a reputation but it is precisely those with reputation that killed the uncollateralised loaning in the first place .
