when do we get td effecting missiles as promised for 1.0 odyssey. once 1.0 odyssey hit the streets you , ccp , told us its delayed to get used to the missiles nerfs that came with it ? . I think with with 1.1 coming next week we have waited long enough and it much time has passed to get used to recent missile changes. |

It is not a nerf, but why tracking disruptor can make any turret ships useless and missile shouldn't be affected by this? |

TDs and TEs/TCs are very likely never going to affect missiles.
There's a good chance, and I will let you ferret out the Dev reply in F&I stating this, that there may be similar modules released FOR missiles, but traditional turret buff/debuff mods are not going to affect missiles. I'm personally still for keeping missile and turret EWAR systems separate as it promotes choice in fittings rather than one module (Tracking Disruptor) beats all. CCP would do better in looking at a rewroking of the defender missile system as something which works along the lines of what they wanted with TD than changing the TD itself. Lieutenant Turelus

You can't align your ship to increase tracking and thus, damage, with missiles. They can be destroyed while en route to their target, and most importantly, they are delayed damage and half the missile hulls have to sacrifice bonuses for missile velocity, to get them to be worthwhile.
In short,; they have their strenghts and certainly their weaknesses. There is no need for CCP to make non-sensical changes to tracking to disruptors, to limit their use even more.

That's the reply I was talking about.
And I personally agree that I don't want TDs affecting missiles. Give me a different module that serves the same purpose, or at the least, a different set of scripts that force the TD user to choose between missile/turret debuffs the same way you have to select optimal or tracking disruption now. (And I would really rather a separate module.) I don't know how it is elsewhere, but lowsec and FW zones are already overflowing with TDs as it is; it doesn't need to be the end-all-be-all module for weapon disruption. For every person wanting TDs to effect missiles, there are 3 people STILL whining about the HML balance.
CCP needs time to reinforce the Forum Node before making anything else effect missiles, or else the forum would meltdown from the overwhelming amount of whine threads. In addition, the trolls need to bolster their numbers so they can be ready to troll all the beforementioned whine threads.
Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |
