Serenity's Firefly is a coll looking ship - wouldnt mind having something along those lines in EVE.
However, after watching Babylon 5 for a while (again) I think allot of stuff in EVE has been inspired by that show. I maybe wrong. But sure as hell looks that way - from transport ships to Nebulae Effects.
Yea CCP - give us another ISK/Time Sink! I will train a smugler transport + Full Set of Snake Implants! This should be good.

I'm a browncoat as well. In fact, Firefly/Serenity is the reason I took the plunge and started playing Eve recently. I had been reading and looking at Eve since it came out...but it wasn't until recently that I re-watched the DVD series and the movie that I got the urge to make my own way out in "the Black"
I recommend the special features on the Serenity movie DVD...they really go into Joss' concepts and ideas used to create the setting of Firefly.
Take my love, take my land Take me where I cannot stand I don't care, I'm still free You can't take the sky from me Take me out to the black Tell them I ain't comin' back Burn the land and boil the sea You can't take the sky from me There's no place I can be Since I found Serenity But you can't take the sky from me...

Not an official Browncoat but certainly a firefly fan. Shame they borked the ratings on the first showing in the states. (Something to do with putting 6 weeks of baseball on in the middle of the series then not advertising it when it came back on - this wasn't factored into the ratings calc so when nobody knew to watch the last half they assumed nobody wated to. This was also all decided before the rest of the world got a look in).
I would go for a Prowler for low sec / medium cargo. Although for some reason the Hoarder always 'felt' like a similar style ship to a Firefly. Blackmarket trading skill gives you a nice bonus against customs but as far as I know it's only available at start-up, you can't buy the book in-game.
Oi, Joss. You keep flying and we'll keep watching.

It was shown out of order, had its timeslot changed a bunch of times, sometimes was in the same timeslot as some established high rated shows, had very little marketing and by the time anyone who would've been interested in watching knew about it, it was already off the air.

I have an Osprey named Serenity... closest thing in the game to a Firefly in my opinion.
I adore Firefly and the movie Serenity. I was so tired of the quantum physics time travelling crap that always pervades Star Trek style shows. It was nice to find a show where the heroes could play at being criminals and fixed broken parts with duct tape instead of quantum spanners.
