I found a freeze that is 100% reproducible for me! I hope its the same freeze that has bedeviled Mac users for the past year. It works the same: The client freezes, but the ship its controlling stays in space until a force quit is used.
Click on an Orca, wait for the radial menu, slide the mouse right to the "+" item in the menu.
I had the Orca pilot in the same corp as me and both clients were running on my MacBook Pro in windowed mode.

Odd. I just undocked in an Orca, did that exact thing, and nothing unexpected happened.
I'm running in windowed mode on an iMac, and I had another instance of EVE running at the time. So there's some other weird little detail. Maybe it's specific to your hardware? Maybe I'm just incredibly lucky?
I've noticed that an additional 16GB of RAM has made EVE much happier. Proud founder and member of the Belligerent Desirables. |

It is odd. I just tested it again and it did freeze again. Only this time when it froze a few seconds later (I always wait to see if it really is a perma-freeze) I got
Exception raised Unhandled illegal instruction at address 0x2e326488.
I'm on a MacBook Pro, 8 gig of RAM. I'm not sure if I can put in more. |

I'm pretty sure that for whatever reason the freeze only happens to specific characters. This character never freezes, but my covops pilot freezes goddamn constantly. |

This is oddly true. I've had my main freeze up three or four times today, my other chars haven't frozen once (4 chars over 2 accounts). |

I've noticed account-specific memory leaks. Until my recent memory upgrade, I had one character that would always turn into a black silhouette if I put any NeX store clothing on her (and then randomly blinks in and out of being fully rendered after that), but who rendered just fine in CQ. Another one, my newest, was a walking acid trip in CQ, but worked fine in character customization. Another one was an acid trip in CQ and really screwy in character customization. Your version hits when you're in space, which sucks. Given that the problems I've seen relate to textures being read from random parts of memory, I wonder if it's a problem related to your Orca's textures being similarly fetched from who knows where.
I'm pretty sure the RAM upgrade has just hidden the problem by increasing the odds that the code reads from and writes to unused memory, but I'll take that.
In the case of the screwy character customization, it was never long before the whole thing crashed hard. Proud founder and member of the Belligerent Desirables. |

In the meantime CCP Karkur has patched a number of the callsites in the UI that should be live already or with today's client, so crashes should be reduced. The real fix should make it into tomorrow's patch and *fingers crossed* these crashes should go away for good.
so the fix may cure more than my bug. And it should be in tomorrow. |

Just tested my orca bug. Its gone.
I also opened 3 clients, then a browser and a pile of tabs in an attempt to get a freeze. No freeze. |
