meaning http://eveonline.com/api/doc. I realize there's documenation at eve-id.net but it seems weird there's no official source. Where do they find their documentation? |

The ancient information that use to be there were confusing people so CCP finally deleted them but since many places on the web pointed to them they decided to make the page you see. You can also find the 'official' docs in the eve wiki but it's rarely as update to date as what you find on eve-id.net. Finds camping stations from the inside much easier. It's called reading blog notes and accessing the APIs to see what's there. The whole point with a wiki is that everyone can help make it better as they figure out something new. I'd say there are at least dozen or so core third party API developers like me that take the time to update it. Finds camping stations from the inside much easier. Designer of Yapeal for Eve API. It would still be better if someone from CCP would document their own work rather than having to reverse-engineer each API call. This lack of accurate API documentation is really annoying. Good thing eve-id is with us! |

Quote:so, again, where are the eve-id guys finding their "up-to-date" information? This is only from my limited knowledge but the API is has so many coding styles, php, and java to name 2. If your looking for api information you should check here.

The best thing you can do to learn the API, the calls and methods of using it is to refer to the link above and other pages like this one which is a tutorial for using the API with PHP and one of the frameworks called pheal.
There are several good and maintained frameworks to name a few (These are php frameworks);
- Pheal
- Yapeal - Dragonaire the developer is very helpful and active on the forums if you have issues
(forgive me if my spelling is terrible)

Are there updates regarding using the new API authentication system? I'm only able to get the Legacy auth to work. |

Eve-id has info on using CAK as well. Not all APIs have the new info so if you don't see it on the API you're looking at try another one in that section should give you the info you need.
