I wasn't sure where to put this so I'll slap it in general...
ok sometimes when I'm out and about shooting rats/people everything will be going normally, then I loose all my target locks, and when I rty to retarget it tells me that "you are already managing 0 targets, you can't target anymore" (or something along those lines)
which kinda sucks because I start gettin shot to bits and I can't do anything, after a few tries it sometimes comes back, but I have had to warp before now when it wasn't working, even though I was winning.
It never did that before this latest patch, methinks somethings a bit broken...
oh and when I zoom out on roid belts the roids on the edge of the belt go all flickery and disappear...
anyone else got this? anybody gonna try and fix it?

yeah, you're getting jammed. Use FOFs, sensor backup arrays, etc.

Spot on I suspect. One or more of the rat's is jamming you. If it keeps happening with the same spawn then either fit some of your racial ECCM modules or find out which ships carry the jammers and hit them fast and hard when you go out there.

heh I've never ever been jammed before...
rats doing this must be new with this patch...
the roid belt thing is still annoying though.

Rats doing EW was a major part of the patch. There was a huge big thread about it. You should try reading the devblogs.
I don't understand what you mean by:

hi mate,the flickering i suspect is because you have reached a lod distance,
ie lod=level of display and most 3d models (the roids) have.
they may have up to 5 lod's,from a simple box far out to a many sided polagonal entity
up close.
in the gui when you press esc,you can choose whether to use lods at all,try turning it
off,see if it happens still.
if not that maybe its a graphics card driver issue

seeing as u failed ot read the RMR dev blogs then well i guess u deserve to be destoryed by NPCs at least once - now u have the idea fit some ECMs, backup arrays and the like when NPCing against target disrupting NPC ships
Im a happy little camper now - CCP 4tw. |

Yuh your getting jammed by rats some serp rats did it pre patch but alot more are now. not much you can do about it unless you use fof missiles.
failing that its backup arrays but these will gimp most setups to defeat high level rats
if your a drone user follow standard tactic's make sure they target you first launch drones then order to attack then back away, doesn't matter if they jam you drones will continues to attack all hostiles.
