O'Mara Shipyards is issuing 9000 shares and putting them on auction here in blocks of 100 shares. The maximum number of blocks a corporation or pilot can bid on is five. The initial bidding price is 240,000 Isk for one block.
This is a Dutch auction, where your bid will count as long as you are not bumped off the list by someone else. Please make bids in 10,000 Isk amounts.
Please look on this thread if you want to know more about O'Mara Shipyards : O'Mara Shipyards
Weekly dividends on these shares is 25% of the profits the corporation will make. The dividend will be given out at the same time the report is finished : As close as Monday 0:00 as I can. The money raised by this auction will be used to start cruiser and/or destroyer construction depending on the amount raised.
It will end Thursday at 5:00 Eve time. Sniper rule of 5 minutes.
Feel free to ask any question on both threads or directly to me in-game or by mail.
Thanks for looking! Happy bidding!
Current bids :
no blocks left unbidded on
5 blocks : 15m : TwoThirteen 5 blocks : 10m : Kerushi 5 blocks : 10m : Eve University 5 blocks : 10m : Seventh Paradox 5 blocks : 10m : Deodar 5 blocks : 8m : Insidious Prime 5 blocks : 6m : Faux 5 blocks : 6m : Guntork 5 blocks : 6m : E-Town 5 blocks : 5m : Fubar 5 blocks : 5m : Panzer Goddess 5 blocks : 5m : Alvara 5 blocks : 5m : Agrilad 5 blocks : 5m : jbob2000 5 blocks : 5m : Allison Lovey 5 blocks : 2.25m : Vily 5 blocks : 2.25m : Christoph Xavier 5 blocks : 2.2m : Bubba1977 5 blocks : 2m : RichThugster
It may be me but the list of ppl you have above, would make total shares 9500 as you have 19 ppl bidding, should this not be 18 ppl?
Anyway this looks cool I will have the following
60 mil. for 5 blocks (12 mil / block)

I am sorry but I really don't get this. You are bidding so much for shares in a 1 man corperation, that whilst run by what seems a competant business man, yet an eve-noob, no offence intended, that has a current capital of 30m ISK and most recently the divident per share was 420 isk. For 5 blocks that would be 210,00 ISK a week, if it stays the same, and I am sure it won't it looks to be taking 280 odd weeks to pay back if you spend 60m for the shares. Do you really think that this is going to be a worthwhile investment? and if so, explain so I can consider spending my ISK.

I have been doing some maths, probably wrong, but if they are paying 25% dividend of corperation profits per week to shareholders, inorder to make 1m per week with 5 blocks, the corperation would need to be making 72m ISK profit a week.
Can anyone see if i am wrong?

No offense taken, I have some of the same concerns, the % of return I managed to make was on frigates on a local market. Now I will probably jump to building most Caldari cruisers, Feroxes and maybe even battleships. While i'm honored you all trust me in that venture, you must know that it's gonna take me some time to ajust to that kind of production and logistics. But I am sure that with enough time, I can grow this to worthwhile levels.
Remember the prices are per block, so if you say 10 for 5 blocks, you are bidding 50 millions overall.
You cannot bid for someone else and you can only bid for a corporation if you are the CEO of that corporation. Manheart : Fixed, thank you

39 total blocks x 1m. = 39m./.25 = 156 millions a week

Ok, I probably didnt explain it clear enough. Check back the first post.
You can retract your bid anytime, especially if you thought the price showed was the total price of the blocks, I hope the new way of displaying it won't be as confusing as the other one.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the people involved meant to collectively bid over 500m this early in an auction for what is currently a frigate building corp looking to expand to cruisers.
Besides, if each lot is 5 blocks, then setting a price for each block runs counter to what I would expect most people see it as. You would be much better served at running the price per lot (where 1 lot is 5 blocks). Again, I could be wrong, but I fully expect that is what people were thinking when they placed their bids.

it was pritty clear, when it started, it was 1 block for 240k with a max of 5 blocks per person/corp
every one just took 5 blocks so it was bid price x 5 (5 blocks) that some started to bid the otherway around suddently is not a fault of the seller but of the readers as for 3 pages bids went as intended ________________

Ok. I guess I am in the wrong, but I do have a suspicion that at least some of those top bids were not meant to be per block. I'll keep an eye on this thread and see where it ends up and decide then if I am still interested.

You can bid on only 3 blocks of 100 shares if you want, 5 blocks is only the maximum number of blocks you can bid on. I would have said that there is 18 blocks of 500 shares if I wanted them to sell that way.
Anyone who thought they were bidding on 5 blocks at once can retract the bid they made without any problem. I too realise that I maybe took the bids too quicky. We still have until thursday so I think everyone will have looked back and asked for rectification until then.
The reason I put in that structure is that I wanted anyone to be able to bid on some shares, while players that want to invest more can do that too.
Sorry for the mess.
