Is there a website that breaks down the ships in text format? Like their stats: armor, shields, structure, cpu, power, capacitor, slots, capacity, and other things I know I forgot?

To my knowledge there is no such web pagem eve-i used to have something similar but is not around any more.
i just use Item Database

The build version isn't overly important if you're just comparing ships for the sake of comparing them, especially for newer players. The fact it's an older build doesn't mean that all of a sudden a Black Bird is going to have a greater targeting range than say a Moa (for sake of example). The game is constantly being updated and trying to maintain a ship stat comparison page with the current build would be a nightmare.

I agree that for overall stats the site is still very useful. I just wanted to point that out in case some one saw a discrepency with the site and the game. There have been a few chnages not to mention new ships.
Still, for basic tech 1 ships, it should do just fine.

i was given this link http://evegames.hostingbig.com/eve/data/index.html and it's comparison tables are handy but i have no idea how up to date it is.

The evegames.hostingbig.com site has the recent skill modifications for Arbitrator, so I'd guess it is up to date.

If you drill down the menus till you come to the item, it gives you the build number, currently at: Build Number 2.09.3805
