Aside from a few grammatical errors and bad choice for title, the guide should be a nice thing for EVE-noobs. Kudos

Yes I apologize for not 100% proofing this for typos and such but i will this weekend, just had not added the last few things either......and yeah the title will change...LOL
It will be a little bit bigger and all proofed this weekend after i finish adding the final pieces...
sorry bout the errors in grammar and typos....there shouldnt be to many though.

I cannot believe no ISD stickied this....
17 pages of new player FAQ guide
and it works 100% ingame.
and no im not going to ask for a sticky as you said i must ISD...
you should see the value of this all by your self....
im not here for glory or policing ...im here to help new players get acclimated to eve sooner to foster a better community AS A PLAYER....and this guide works 100% IN GAME unlike any guide out there of this kind....
did i waste my time??? or am i still to bi-polar to be accepted in the ISD click?
anyway did my best - thanks for not even noticing ISD - except to tell me not to cross post when i informed the many in eve general discussion about this as most dont come here....and then to tell me if i want a sticky - (i never asked for one nor ever would) to mail the mods???
if i posted my webserver stats right now to the AD-free no nonsense guide you would prolly be amazed.
maybe im just to old for this LOL
anyway enjoy all....ill update it as eve progress's and add new stuff also as it grows up...

Edited by: Albus on 30/01/2006 10:00:47 Just out of interest, is the following information obtained from Dev's, or just from players? -
"How often do asteroid belts respawn.
Asteroid Belts re spawn nightly at maintenance. It is not some big jump either and huge rocks appear in space. If the asteroids are completely mined to nonexistence (the asteroid is gone) it could take up to 3-4 days to even see a pebble appear back. Depleting valuable ore (popping the asteroid) in deep space is not a wise thing....if you wish to keep mining the same asteroids very long of a rare ore. But if the asteroid is not depleted it will grow a little each maintenance instead of waiting a few days to even see ore come back yet mine it. There are some VERY LARGE veldspar asteroids out there!"
Every time this topic comes up I seem to see two sides, one swearing it's true and the other swearing you can pop them and it makes no difference. Would love to know which is true.

I was as factual as possible and this was from expierience a year or so ago or better but I am almost positive this is how it is. you could always test and see though:):) I have not mined in a year or more at least.
Maybe some CCP person would verify this is accurate info...in case I am mistaken...

Excellent guide, and well done you- this needs to be stickied.
However, I would remove any references to night or day (eg. asteroids respawn nightly), as due to them pesky timezones this may end up confusing someone.

And one of those was probably me, I find a well written guide such as this being available easily within reach ingame very valuable. Good work!

when I get back in game I think I will put this in my bio... I help players in newbie corp... I find it to be fun so far... I made a Caldari alt and found State War Academy's corp channel to be impossible to keep track of.

You say in the guide that Optimal+Falloff is max range of the turrets and you won't hit anything past that. Isn't it possible to hit things up until Optimal + (2xFalloff) though?
