So i jumped into eve about 3 months ago and had an immediate head explosion over how awesome this game is. So my natural response was to pick up 2 more accounts to ensure that i could take full liberty of the room for experimentation in this game.
That said I've now devoted myself to mission running and faction building, with one account using a heavy missile Drake (with consideration on going to a heavy assault missile set), second account is medium hybrids (rail guns and blasters are equally skilled) in a Ferox, third account is... well i can't make up my mind, and that's where you guys come in.
I've read about "spider fleets" where i fit a remote shield booster in the open high slot for each ship, and i like the sound of it.
I want this third ship to be something able to act as a support/salvage ship, with a capacity for around 20k ehp. I tried the Noctis, and it feels like it spends more time fleeing and scavenging the battle field than actively helping and contributing. (naturally considering it's insane tractor bonus and 8 high slots).
I like what I've read about drone boats, and the Vexor seems to be the best fit for the job. But i don't really know how to fit it to best support the other two accounts. Assuming all level 5 on skills for the time being as i am fine with taking the time to skill up to what the ship and fit demand.
my initial thoughts for the fit are something like this
4 x high pithum c class remote shield boost drone link aug II small tractor II small tractor II
4 x medium Faction specific resistance amp II Faction specific resistance amp II 10mn afterburner II omni track link II
5 x low drone damage amp II drone damage amp II drone damage amp II drone damage amp II drone damage amp II
Rigs... probably field extenders all the way around... unless it's a mistake to do so?
I haven't experimented with drones in a ship with a bonus for them yet so i don't know if i should be putting anything else in the low slots. I also have most of my drone skills maxed already as i have anticipated going drones on this account for some time now.
Thanks for taking the time to read this at any rate, and please be sure to comment if i am making any mistakes in these decisions.
ps. this will be staying almost exclusively in High sec,

I would honestly consider using the third account as more of a support type character, for example using it to salvage in a noctis, maybe as a boosting toon as well to provide fleet bonuses to the group.
Generally speaking, use the third character to warp in after the fight to start salvaging the site while you move on to the next job with the other 2.
I am unsure of how you'll go with three accounts in a mission at one time, I personally would have a hard time tabbing between that many screens. Also as a thought, while drone boats sound like easy mode, they tend to need more babysitting these days to manage the drones taking aggro. (ie, returning a drone to bay when it is being attacked before it goes pop)
level 4 missions can be done by a single character, two makes life easier and potentially cheaper. so another option is to use that third account to do PvP or some other activity completely unrelated to the other two.
as that fit stands, I don't know if you'll need cap mods fit into it to help maintain the shield rep. Also.. using more then 3 damage augmenters tends to be a bad idea as the stacking penalty makes the dps boost pretty tiny.

5 drone damage amps is bad, might want to read up on stacking penalties. DCU is a good choice there, or a capacitor power relay.
Drone ships are excellent for spider tanking as they scale very well, and you don't need a dedicated support ship.
if you want a support ship, a myrmidon is superior to a vexor. More slots, more hitpoints, more capacitor. However I would also consider using a dedicated t1 logi cruiser like an exequror for armor or osprey for shields.
Capacitor power relays are good on remote armor/shield/capacitor ships as the shield boost penalty doesn't apply to remote reps.
Dual RR domis are a great combination and work both at low SP and scale very well with high SP. Can take on a lot of stuff, from level 4s to exploration complexes to wormhole sites.
A drake pilot is really just a tengu pilot in training. Tengus are great, btw.
If you want to get your standings up, look into the epic arc missions. Each major faction has one, it gives a giant standings boost that doesn't do a penalty to your other faction standings (unlike storylines). For gallente you need standings with impetus, for caldari you need to get some standings with expert distribution to unlock the epic arcs. You can repeat the mission every 3 months and after awhile you're standings get quite high. The missions are very hard however and you need to know what you're doing. Fighting is Magic |

Yes it will and yes the Myrmidon will be the better choice to work to and in the future go up to domi. Once you have myrmidon be sure to skill up the senturies and you will be able to assign them to assist your primary shooter to reduce micromanagement yor other ships are shield tank and the myrmidon can do a good passive shield tank also to keep your remote rep the same type across ships and free some low slots for dda also get your remote rep skills up or you will have cap issues. |

If you really want to run a support ship with drones, I recommend aiming for the Eos in the long run. You can field a full flight of Battleship-class weapons in Tech II Sentries, run three ganglinks, and STILL run Remote Shield transfers and energy transfers, as well as remote tracking boosters and remote sensor boosters. The only drawback is the ganglink bonuses for the Eos are armor and skirmish, not siege (shield) but I think it's a fair tradeoff for all the other things you can do with it. |

This is my goal, the Eos. Granted I wasn't aware you can have BS Class weapons on it? I just started playing again yesterday after about a year off. |

He means heavy drones and sentries. Most Battlecruisers cannot field more than a flight of mediums with maybe 1 or 2 heavies/sentries. |

I did the same thing and jumped from 1 to 3 within a few months of starting EVE. my advice is if you see the point of 3, you actually want 5 (and you'll end up adding them in about a year).
and yeah, triple droneboats are awesome |
