I wish to suggest the option in form of a checkbox to instruct the Autopilot to stop after each jump.
At first it might sound like beating the whole purpouse of Autpilot, but let me explain:
I often use the Autopilot to avoid having to manually A. Approach Gate and B. Jump through gate. But travelling in hostile territory requires me often to stop inside the next system to evaluate the situation before I continue to the next gate. For now I keep toggling the Autopilot on and off all the times.
I would love the game to allow me to define a Autopilot route, but to also allow me to stop after each jump. And manually activate the autopilot again.

I'd like this also, plotting some 50 stops into 0.0 manually makes you not want to go as often.

There is an option to 'disable autopilot at each waypoint' in the map controls autopilot tab. Doesn't that do exactly this?

As mentioned previously on the thread that would still mean you'd have to set all 50 waypoints manually, ok?

Why the hell do you even use auto pliot in 0.0?
Anyways, i dont see whats so hard about pushing that button a few times....
Adding this wouldnt be bad, but it should be somewhere at the bottom of the "To-Do list" __________________________________________________

You can do this manually, but if you're not paying attention to how you're doing it, you can hang your system after the 10th waypoint.

So you can quickly find a gate (as it is yellow) to align for synchronised gang warps.
I don't think you trust, in, my, self-righteous suicide. |

Why not just turn off the autopilot once the 'autopilot jumping' message comes up?

yes that is what I currently do but it requires constant alertness to really deactivate it in the right time, not always possible due to lag.
And of course the time you dont manage to toggle it off in time and you lag out a bit then you suddenly start to warp on the other side of the gate amidst a cloud of hostiles, you get the picture.
Or if you were using instas to travel then you suddenly start to autopilot-warp before you could deactivate the autopilot and use your BM, due to lag.

Oh yeah I misunderstood the meaning of waypoint, thought every system along a route counted as one. So I guess they could just add a 3rd option 'Disable autopilot after every jump'...
