as it happens i had one 2 nights ago where i was fighting some gargoyle like creature, which hid in darkness .. it appeared and i managed to kill it but as i was leaving the room another one jumped on me from the ceiling. I saw it very clearly ripping me apart, and as it got to my throat i woke up screaming ..
i have a lot of disturbing dreams..

lol, one of my very disturbing dreams was when i lived in my old house. we lived nextdoor to 2 builders who were allways making a racket, normally used to here loud banging noises as if they were pounding something with a hammer.Anyway to the dream. (in my dream) i woke up in the middle of the night to go to toilet, so being upstairs i had to walk out of the room into a hallway and at the end of the hallway was the bathroom door. so i got out of bed and began walking ouin to the hall.As silence filled the surroundings i stopped as i began to here banging noises. so i thought nothing of it and began walking, But the banging got louder, and it seemed that as i was walking to the toilet door the door was getting further away so i began to very briskly walk to the bathroom door and still yet the banging sound was echoing around my head, the banging noise was coming from behind me now. so i now began to start running. and the banging got louder as it sounded someone was chasing me from behind with a hammer-swinging for me- missing hitting the floor and each time getting closer
Now i began sprinting towards the bathroom door and the banging now deafing my ears. finally as i examined the bathroom door i could see the light was on inside, as i could see the yellow ray of light creeping through. suddenly as i was watching the ray of light, i heard a familiar sound of a chainsaw being started up from which i have heard many times before from the builders. And when the chainsaw was switched on EVERYTHING went blood red, my heart now beating very fast i got to the door, withought looking behind me jumped in. and i wasnt expecting the sheer horror of seing my own body being sawn in bits all over my bathroom floor, Blood spraying all over the white tiles by the 2 builders who looked to be very much enjoying the bloodshed. I then woke...not to the my bedside alarm going off. not to the phone ringing but to a familiar banging noise from next door

I once dreamed I woke up, went to the shower ... then my alarm went off, I woke up, went to the shower ... then my alarm went off, I woke up, went to the shower ... then my alarm went off, I woke up, went to the shower and finally got to have breakfast.
I'm still not entirely sure I did wake up for real that last time. ____________________

Would have to be the recurring nightmares of Rolf Harris trying to get into my house and kill me, which I had for months. I still can't look at him on the television. -----------------------------------------

I remember a recent dream where I was reading a magazine. It was very odd because it was your typical hi-gloss rag and filled with celebrities or something. However, it was all laid out like a stock-market listing. All the tiny celebrity images had up or down arrows and positive and negative numbers in bold reds and greens.
I then began to suspect that I was dreaming and flipped to other pages because even though I was susceptible to dream-logic, I was well aware that you can't read words or coherent sentences in a dream. I make out whole sentences that seemed to go together, something about rental property business opportunities in Belarus, yet the focus of the whole document seemd to be incongruous or wandering. Some of the letters would shift around and eventually flop back to what they were supposed to be if you concentrated on them. This was exciting but made me feel woozy so I set it aside.
After the magazine winked out of consciousness, I walked over to some heavilly curtained windows in what I was absolutely certain was my home and noted the presence of various family members in the adjoining rooms and some additional people that I apparently accepted as family members, and no longer felt an awareness that I was sleeping. I think I woke up after this (probably some hours later) and recalling the house in the dream, realized that I've never seen it before despite how familiar it seemed. I suppose that since I created it all, it would be hard for it to seem unfamiliar.
This was last weekend, so I think it was from the cough medicine I'd had seeing as I rarely recall dreams. I dream, but it is unusual for one to be so ornate and full of vibrant and tangible objects.

Normally i don't dream or just can't remember them but there was this one week where i was really tired.
Every day for the entire week i would fall back asleep after hearing my alarm go off. I would dream that I was making breakfast, eating it, getting my stuff ready to go to school, brushing my teeth and finally when i was ready to go out the door I woke up in my bed and had to do the entire thing over again.

I remember an odd dream. I was facing two mobsters who were aiming a lupara at me, explaining I was about to be liquidated. In my dream, I figured "there is no use in escaping, it is time to face it". Two shotgun rounds goes off and I fall helplessly to the cold floor. Im laying perfectly still, just staring emptily at the floor, waiting to die from my wounds. I see blood running past my face along the floor. Suddenly, I get this great sense of relief. My gushing wound stops hurting, the cold of the floor goes away and I can hear the mobsters gasp in the background. I calmly say "Im not dead." and get up on my feet. I walk over to the armed mobster and yank his shotgun away and proceeds to bludgeon him to death with it. The other guy started running, but I threw the shotgun at him so hard he got knocked out or killed (hard to tell with dream logic and all). Suddenly, my friends and family emerges from the corners of the room looking at me with a "what the hell are you doing?" kind of look on their faces. One of them tells me that "we must get out of here now!".
I don't remember what happened after that, the dream probably crossfaded into another story or something. I remember this part though because I can clearly remember how I accepted my faith, and how powerful the image of my own blood pooling on the floor was. I usually die in my dreams, and I can often feel physical pain from doing so (the thing I hate the most is stab wounds to the chest, that feels so damn much, and so strange).
Another mentionable dream was when I had to refuel a big rig truck. The trick to the refueling mechanism was that there was a telephone pole elevated with pneumatics into the air. To get it to start pumping gas into the tanks, you had to bite onto a vice to verify your identity (sounds strange, yes, but this was what I dreamt). As I put my mouth in the vice, the pole slowly started to sink down, and while doing so it slowly crushed my jaw and teeth. I woke up feeling like someone had ripped off my face and teeth, and that feeling didn't go away until 10 seconds after waking up. Good thing I was to shocked to scream, that would have been pretty bad. The extreme pain went away in a microsecond suddenly, so I don't think it was physical pain, but some messed up mental projection. Powerful stuff.

Sitting in my grandfathers knee in the house I lived in at the time, I was looking at my shadow being cast on the wall. While doing so, the shadow began to change, and the head of the shadow turned into a shadow face.
I was very young when I had this dream (you're not very old when you sit in your grandfathers knee), and it was so frighening that I still remember it.
Most other dreams are not really scary, I haven't had a scary dream (that I've been able to recall) for ages. I've had some that you could consider to be scary depending on who you are though, such as being on a really big ship that is sinking while I have to try to figure out how to untie a bunch of ppl and save us all at the same time, or driving a car trying to avoid running over small children, or having your friend shoot your girlfriend and then be chased by your enemies while hiding the gun as you drive past a group of police officers.

once i had this very strange dream where i was somehow in lost in feilds and mountiness terrains. and i was walking around looking for buildings i saw a large white tower in the distance, so i sprinted towards it. it was a very aged looking circular tower which went up about as high as the empire state building. and as i walked round the large building i came across a set of large wooden doors.I knocked very lightly on the doors and the they floated open, reveilding a large empty room with a stair case going up in a circular motion. i went up the staircase and when i got to the top i opended the door and there was a big empty space ahead of me. i walked to the edge, looked down and saw that i was above the clouds. Then suddenly i heard a voice behind me.
Instantly i turned round and my eyes met the figure of an oldman in a white robe( the look of the white wizard from lord of the rings) he had a wand and said, '' i know your in a dream so, you can either me kill you right now and you will never wake up or you take a big run-up and jump off the edge and i will wake you up before you hit the bottom. so i took a big run up and leaped off the edge falling very fast. as i aproched the bottom i saw many corpses, and thought that he had tricked them just like he has tricked me. and as i felt the slightets inch of the ground i woke phew manchester united's best ever fan!

I occasionally get a rather wierd dream- I'm in a house/mansion/whatever, it's just a lot of rooms to me- all fairly nondescript and the lights are out- and I'm going through the house (which in itself is creepy enough) and then I really hurt in my back and chest, look down and see there's some kind of metal strut protruding from my chest, because it's been shoved through from the back.
About then I wake up. Less than happy. And with some bigass chest pain which is what worries me.

When i was about 3 or 4 years old i had a nightmare. I don't remember what happened before but i was crossing an onld bridge wich was made of ropes and planks "the type you see in Indiana Jones" And beyond the pitfall into the river there was a cave. When everyone but me had crossed, some bats decided to fly out of the cave and one of them went infront of my face, just like in cartoons when they switch scenes, and i fell off the bridge and saw crocodiles in the river as i was falling down. Woke up as soon as i splashed into the river. I screamed and woke up both my mum 'n dad wich were sleeping beside me. I think they were more shocked then i was

I had the exact same dream a few years back, but it i used to dream it multiple times every week. I recall it going on for the best part of a month, then finally stopping...
Another dream, i woke up in my bed in the middle of the night and it was pitch black with the exception of the moonlight shining through my window. I rolled over and felt a presence of something and in the corner of my eye i saw a very dark figure approach the side of my bed and lean over me. Shutting my eyes in pure fear i then felt 'it' place its hands over the side of my face, which literally froze my face. i suddenyl then woke up for real and for the best part of a few seconds i was in a cold sweat and couldnt feel half of my face. Creepy...

Done this before but is still creepy.
I was about 13 when i had a dream that i was being chased by some big-arsed monster type that most defo wanted to do bad things with me.
Ensues a long and arduous chase in which he chases me and pummels me into the ground, literally, he's jumping on me and im going INTO the dirt.
I awoke UNDERNEATH my bed, bear in mind my bed was a divan and so i couldnt have got under without lifting it (30Kg of bed, yeah right)

Almost everybody has falling dreams at some point, in fact I'd be surprised if not everybody has had them as there is a reason as to why you get those dreams.
Mine usually ended with me falling deeper and deeper into the ocean, and not really ending but I did stop breathing for a short while - until I tried breathing while under water, which worked.

I remember very clearly being alone in a multi-storey carpark very late at night, I had a gun and I believe I was preparing to kill myself, when other "scary" people came at me to do the job for me, I ran and had to shoot them. When they all died, I woke up.
Some of you might want to try lucid dreaming:
Lucid Dreaming is being in a state when you are awake while dreaming, meaning you can control some aspects of the dream conciously.

This isn't really a dream, but I'm permanently petrified at the thought that the last umpteen years of my life have been a dream, and any second I could wake up as a 7-year old

For me it wasn't so much the dream that was scary but waking from it.
I once dreamed I was being attacked by a zombie - it was holding me by the throat and pushing me underwater while I held my breath and struggled to get free. Then I started to wake up, and as I became more concious I realized I was holding my breath for real. But I was still caught in the sleep paralysis that stops us from getting up and acting out our dreams while we're asleep - so I was concious of not breathing but I couldn't force my mouth to open and start breathing again.
I'm sure it didn't actually last for long, but it felt like it went on for ages. It took an effort of pure will to start breathing and I was convinced I wasn't going to make it in time. Rationally, I know that if I had lost conciousness from not breathing my body would have relaxed and I would have started again anyway, but at the time that wasn't the foremost thought in my mind - it was a feeling of pure mortal panic I wouldn't want to repeat.

I dreamed that my brother and I decided to go on a crime spree. So we kidnap this woman, and some dude tried to be a hero, so we shoot his knees out....
Nah... I cant get into it. It really truly freaked me right the hell out. It was so ******* violent, torture, everything. And I am so not a violent person (irl). _______________________________________________
