Kyseth wrote:The concept of a guilty pleasure is somewhat odd to me. How can you derive true pleasure from something that you feel guilty for? It is not entirely that you feel guilty for partaking, but that other people might wish to attempt to make you do so should they discover you happen to enjoy it. It's different from a vice in that it should not, in and of itself, cause actual tangible harm to you or those around you.
For example, Miss Ash here has indicated she happens to enjoy watching "reality" holoseries. A friend or acquaintance - or even some random person on the street - might choose to tease or mock her over this, perhaps because they feel her apparent lack of standards is something she should feel guilty about.
And Miss Rella, she enjoys reading "news" material from the bottom of the metaphorical slop bin - whether or not she believes any of what she reads there or not is irrelevant; the fact that she enjoys reading it in the first place is where the "guilty pleasure" comes in.
Other people happen to enjoy childish pursuits well into their adult lives. Or perhaps they happen to be particularly fond of an actor, writer, musician or some other kind of celebrity that is generally considered unpopular - what's important is the expected reaction that "knowing" your so-called "guilty pleasure" would bring - not necessarily whether you feel guilty about it or not in and of itself.
Me? I happen to enjoy using my own two hands and getting something done myself every now and again. |

I've never really felt guilty in that respect to anything. So euhm, I only have pleasures?
That said, Roid Survivor, really? I found it to be a bit predictable after season 2, another bunch of people thrown together, more drama and crying and people wanting to go home and weird "forbidden" relationships growing between the competitors.
But hey, whatever floats your pod. Besides, I can hardly complain. I'm a sucker for those horrible cheesey sci-fi flicks like Megafedo v/s Charisocosaurus. aÑÉ |

As for any sort of pleasure from watching live streams or holoreels, I think whatever suits you suits you. Yet personally, I think that as an immortal, there is a natural lure to experiencing everything in person. Such as, isn't there part of you (even a little part) that wants to take a soft clone and experience "Roid Survivor" in person? |

I'm impressed I got more than one line out of you with that post. You seem far more chatty when you're not happy.
Also, curious to know where all that is coming from? More the bits about me. It seems people have started a reputation about me without ever mentioning it. I find this positively delightful. I'd just like to know sources before I too jump on the train.
Especially the bestiality part, that's got to be a real classic.
Is this because I agreed with [insert parties] that you'd prefer livestock over a woman?
Also, why rush to pull the discrediting card (especially that poor a choice for discrediting)? Did I really strike that much a nerve?
I find all of this delightfully cute.

You know, if you keep talking, they say you'll pretty much just be digging yourself deeper. I'm not going to contend nor stop you from doing that.
I find it especially cute to hear you hate me though. I never thought I'd actually get to see the day you were "mad bro" but now I wish you'd played a little more hard-to-get. For it now it just feelsGǪ too easy. Cheap, even.

I wouldn't call it a guilty pleasure exactly, but I am a bit addicted to historical documentaries. My favorite documentary series would be the Galactic Geographic channel series: "Spaceship Crash Investigations." The series follows investigative teams through the process of determining causes of spaceship accidents. It is very interesting. The Disciples of Ston bid you peace |

Ah but Diana cher, please ensure you do not let your anger and hatred consume you. I agree they can be used as fuel and directed at your "enemy" but as the anger is an inherent part of you you are burning up an essential part of yourself and fuel comes in limited supplies when it concerns not only your emotions but also your physical being.
Now accepting your emotions, that is an entirely different thing. Accept your emotions whether you like them or not. Accept your anger, your fear, your love. Accept them and utilize them there where needed most.
It is up to your own judgement which you use where, and the outcome will be a directly related to what you put in to the situation. aÑÉ |
