I was wondering what the update for dual core processors are to run eve smooth because mt frame rate is shooting all over the place and my rotation of the camera is moving wierd.

A corpmate has one, and I heard from someone that you need to disable one of the cores to run Eve smoothly. This is a little old, so maybe there's a bios or some other update that will resolve this issue. Also IIRC this is problem/solution with many games, not just Eve.

You don't need to Disable a core... Simply run eve, then alt+tab to windows and run task manager (ctrl alt del) and click on the processes tab.. Then right click on eve.exe and change the CPU from 1 to 2 (or was it from 0 to 1). That way instead of trying to share both cores with the game, it will set it to a single core and not tweak with the game.
This is a very common problem with dual core systems. It is also an amazingly easy fix with windows Xp

Just because I'm a geek, you can also just hit ctrl+shift+escape to jump directly to the task manager.

I'm new to the game, but it seems to run smooth for me. I have it set at 1280 x 1024 with max graphic options whereever I can find them. I'm not convinced that I have all the bells and whistles on though ... or maybe I'm spoiled from X3's great graphics.
I have a dual core 3ghz pentium, Geforce 7800 GTX PCIe, 2 x 160 sata drives, etc. One of those Dell XPS 600s. the neon is cool as well
