Edited by: Ms Freak on 09/02/2006 13:06:43 Hey,
I'm just wondering if anyone has tried applying the DuraMaller principle to the Armageddon/Apoc yet??
I run thsi on my Maller for lvl 2/3 Missions with great sucess.
High: 5 Medium Modulated Pulse 1 Medium E50 NOS
Med: 1 YS-8 AB 1 Fleeting Webbie 1 Medium Peroxide Battery
Low: 1 Medium Armor Rep II 2 Extruded Heat Sink (Or Hardners for lvl 3) 2 Cap Relay 1 (Swap 1 for a Hardner on lvl 3 missions) 1 1600mm Rolled Tungsten
So if i applied that to a geddon say, it would go something like:
High: 7 Heave Modulated Pulse Energy Beams 1 Heavy NOS
Med: 1 Lif-AB 1 Fleeting Webbie 1 Extra Large Battery (Cpu Issued - maybe need a Large Instead)
Low: 1 Extra Large Repper (Again Maybe CPU Issues so a Large Instead) 2 Extruded Heat Sink / HS II 2 1600mm Rolled Tungsten (We are heading for 13K Armor here ) 2 Cap Relays 1 CPU (Probably)
Not to mention the obligatory drone bay full of heavies??
Bearing in mind i'm at work and can't test it (i've also got 2 days left before i can fly it anyway!!)
What do people think there's not much that's gonna chew through that lot :)

You forget about resists ;) Those suck on your durageddon idea.
Still with hull upgrades 5, you are able to achieve 16K+ armor with 70%+ resists on an apoc, which is imho nice.

It would have to be.. DuraApoc Not a Geddon.. Apoc > Maller,, Geddon > Omen.. Or I would think that.. And Extra large armor repair wtf ?

Yeah with that Extra Large Rep you're getting mixed up with Shield and Armour tanking.
And as has already been said, the Apoc is the ship to go for if you want some Amarr based uber tanking.

Your also forgetting that the maller has 5% armour resitances per cruiser level.
None of the BS's have that.
Without any hardeners you wont get much over 60% resistances(other than EM) with your setup.

Lol
Well i was jsut bored at work and trying to figure out if i could super tank a BS in the same way i do my maller. Everyone seems to run large guns (not that this is bad just a Maller with Small's is VERY effective.) so why won't a BS be very effective with med's??
Oh and i check on that EL Armor Reppor - you can get shiled but not armor - i was assuming you probably could?!
So my Setup now stands at
1 Appoc Highs: 7 Medium Modulated Beam 1 E500 Heavy NOS
Meds: 1 Lif-AB 1 Fleeting Webbie 2 Large Cap Battery
Lows: 1 Large Armor Rep II 2 NType Hardners (NPC Specific - in my Case Mainly EM/Thermal) 2 1600mm Rolled Tungsten 2 Cap Relays
I Figure that will probably run indefinetley - You might even be able to get away with only 1 Relay and replace the other with a Damage/Tracking Mod

Try 4 hardeners? The Geddon has the lowslots to run it. Mine uses a single large Repper, and has 83% res in the two res slots I harden.
