Looking at the different Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizers especially the Small T2 variant rise in price, made me think, is this Rubicon speculations ? Or is something else at work? |

CCP is making warp speed affect the acceleration and deceleration part of warping.
Ship with faster warp speeds will get from A to B MUCH faster than before.
Rigs that increase warp speed are therefore increasing in price as they go from almost un-used, to VERY used in Rubicon. |

Not if you don't mind being late to the party. How many of these have others stocked up already? When will they dump their stock on the market? After the initial rush immediately following patch-deployment, how high will the long-term demand be? Can producers easily adjust?
Edit: To clarify, the real speculation happens well before the patch, and the speculators with the most balls might dump their stock before the patch to cash in on other people speculating. |

Be careful. While it is certainly true that demand will be much higher then it was pre-rubicon, it may not end up being particularly high. First, does little/nothing for PvE. Second, its unlikely anyone will adopt fleet doctrines where the line ships are using them. Third, they wont be used for 'solo' pvpers, who are mostly concerned about on field performance. 4th, there is already talk of a pre-release nerf of the deceleration, which will could significantly reduce demand. That leaves them in a couple niches: Support ships that you want to land really fast, but that don't have inherently high warp speeds, highsec industrial/blockade runners (most cargo will still move via freighter), and ceptors running as super fast shuttles. |

It costs around 3m to make that rig and the market is flooded right now. You gotta be stupid to "invest" and have fun undercutting people.
Edit: you can make that rig with that augmentation decryptor and make crazy profits on it. It's not too late. |
