Yesterday i had to reinstall Windows on my machine. Had to download a new client and reinstall the game too. Nothign to hard, would one say. Also true. But. Ofc launcher did freeze at 88,8% on validation of client. At the moment i write this, it tries to download a update for the fourth time, and for shure will fail. CCP, just imagine i was a new customer. Trying to install this amazing game for the first time, not knowing the tricks or where to look after solutions. You keep ignoring this like you did in the last 4 years with most of player's problems. You guys are Pro.

24 hours passed by, launcher does same problems, repair won't work...fun-fun. I presume CCP is on a well deserved vacation to Vegas, Monaco, or god knows where, to cover some Ishukone Scorps giveouts again. Very pro. |

I'm getting the error message that the Launcher.exe has stopped working. I tried to run the repair, but hasn't solved the problem. |

OldWold69: are you able to provide some of the logs that your EVE Launcher will have generated? If it's a permissions issue, as the EVE Repair Tool indicates, then running as administrator might help. If you can provide the logs, and post them to a site like http://pastebin.com/ I can take a deeper look into your issue.

Thanks for the log, is there a chance you could post the whole thing rather than just the exception? You can mail me the link directly if you would prefer. EVE Launcher - Team Special Circumstances |

You should be able to find the logfiles in the launcher\cache folder within your EVE installation. EVE Launcher - Team Special Circumstances |

Try opening a command line and running with the following parameters: "eve.exe /log:debug" You can also do the same with a shortcut if you would prefer.
The log parameter increases the amount of logging that the EVE Launcher does, which might shine some more light on the problem, since I was unable to find an obvious cause in the logs you provided me with already.
If you can get me the logs a second time, after running with the log command, that would be helpful. EVE Launcher - Team Special Circumstances |

OK, let me walk you through it: - open a command prompt - since you've installed EVE to a second hard drive, change to the other disk by typing "d:" - then change to the folder you've installed EVE into, in your case the folder is just called "Eve" so type "cd Eve" - then execute the command I gave you in a previous post: "eve.exe /log:debug"
Hopefully this will start the EVE Launcher, with extra debug logging enabled. You should find the logs it generates in the Launcher's cache folder found at D:\Eve\launcher\cache. The log files will be named with today's date in a year.month.day format like launcher.2013.11.13.log
If you can copy that to pastebin, that would be wonderful.
For the sake of completeness, have you tried rebooting your machine? Additionally, are you running any firewall or antivirus software that might interfere with the process? EVE Launcher - Team Special Circumstances |

Two things: - you forgot to navigate into the subfolder on your D: drive; you just attempted to call eve.exe from the root of the path. It was the third step in the instructions I gave before. - make sure there is a space between the eve.exe and the /log:debug command
Basically it should look like this: http://i.imgur.com/d2rO32F.png EVE Launcher - Team Special Circumstances |

Now I'm confused; your earlier logs showed that you had the game installed at that path. The exception you linked here shows that the EVE Client it is patching is located at D:\Eve
Have you deleted it or something? Where has it gone? EVE Launcher - Team Special Circumstances |

Can you go back to that command prompt and type "dir". It should print out a listing of the folders and directories in the path. EVE Launcher - Team Special Circumstances |

Yea, exactly. Looking at your image, you've somehow renamed the folder that contains your EVE Client; it is now named 'cd Eve' for some reason.
So, from that command prompt, just try running "cd Eve\eve.exe" /log:debug EVE Launcher - Team Special Circumstances |

Once again, you didn't include the space before the /log:debug command. Also, you need to make sure that the command is done with quotes, like this:

great! it finally works. You can ignore that particular file; it's generated by the embedded browser. What we're after is the EVE Launcher log file which I would guess is now located at D:\cd Eve\launcher\cache
It will probably be named launcher.2013.11.13.log
If you can get that to me, that would be excellent EVE Launcher - Team Special Circumstances |
