Hi all,
I know C2 isn't the most profitable WH to run sites in, but I'd like to give it a try. My corp has a home in a C2, and I'd like to run sleeper sites and signatures during "down times".
I can fly gunship's for Minmatar, Gallente and Caldar (gunships?). I can run a T2 fit up to medium guns and armor/shield tank. I can fly HACs and BC's aswel.
If they tend to be better, I can train Amarr up to HAC with T2 medium guns aswel (it's on the list somewhere anyway)
Considering the agility of HACs and the lack there-off for BC's I'm leaning towards HACs. I'm just not sure if that'll work..
I know Drake is a popular choice, and ishtar might be - I lack the weapon skills for both those.
I'm new to WH life aswel, so I'd prefer not to "bling" the ship.
Any advice is apriciated! |

Every Battlecruiser is doable, and its not Drake per se which is the great choice its the missiles, PvE and constant damage go well together.
You could try a hurricane with armor rep, or a brutix with RAILS (i know right).. By Hacs you can only mean Ishtar ( Sentries and Heavys) because most of the others are rather average and a BC would outdamage them if flown properly.
But yeah if you cant use Missiles, Lasers or Rails are your next best option, YES I KNOW THAT BLASTERS EXIST!!!! BUT WE ARE TALKIN PVE HERE ... you dont wanna chase sleepers all day My mind does not reflect my corp ... it just shows you what they care about...

The drake might be the "best", but any of the BCs can do it, and the great thing about c2's is the sleepers don't point. I'd suggest an ac cane with barrage, or a rail brutix. Put 2 armor reps on them, get omni resists high, put a cap booster, ab,and tcs in mids, and fill rest of lows with damage mods . Learn the triggers, and fit only enough tank to get through the site.

For C1s atleast, the zealot is king without competition (besides legion, which is a better zealot). If you really NEED to run c2 sites, you can use an AB zealot for that aswell - the ISK to be made in c1s is just vastly superior.
Even though other ships can run those sites aswell, their speed is just no match for the mentioned. Like Hurricane, Ral-Brutix, Drake can all run those sites somehow, it's just not really fast - and therefore bad :p
And to the Drake-approach: Save yourself the time, running wormhole anoms with drakes is as fun as some bad deseases I don't want to name. They got horrible damageapplication, aenemic raw dps, and as they cannot mitigate damage properly, they need all the tank. (You need about 100hp/s repair in an AB armorhac, or some 250hp/s passive peakrecharge to handle sites) https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=288823&find=unread - Looking for a handful of well-versed EU pilots. I run C1 and C2 anoms pretty easily solo with a rail Prophecy. Requires some micro to keep the drones from being popped but I've rarely had issues. The orbiting frigates are hard to hit with rails but webs and small drones work quickly on them.
Originally I ran a cap booster but I'm trying out dual rep and that seems better. |

Yep. Get an alt and leave it in there UNCLOAKED after you finish. Otherwise, the site de-spawns. Join End-of-Line, -EOL, today, and kill your CEO!(Terms and conditions apply.) |

long time before, i have tested multiple ships against c2 combat sites. With Pulsar effect. So i tried with shield tanking ships.
Maelstrom,Tempest,Gila,Sleipnir,Hurricane,Cyclone,Drake,Ferox,Vagabond.
BS sized ships failed terribly, Due to their size they took lots of damage and applied to little to be effective.
Gila was ok, but sentries are not so good against smaller sleepers.
BC's were kinda ok. Drake did the best but it was taking forever to complete a site.
The winner was Vagabond ( the older version )
What? Yep. The fitting was a semi pvp- can kill some stuff if a ganker comes - fit.
220's on highs + launcher mwd LSE and resistance ****
Damage modules tracking E and dmg control.
However, it should be flown properly. When sleeper ships spawn, immediately mwd to the biggest ship INDIRECTLY. Take a few shots and start orbiting at close range while attacking the smaller spawns.
You only need to tank the missile damage, turrets will not be able to hit you. And you complete sleeper sites pretty fast

Dual-rep harby is a nice a nice balance of cheap/effectiveness for c2s. There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency. |

Domi or fleet phoon are my choices. Best DPS reasonable tank. You basicaly want to have around 400 tank and as much dps as you can squeeze out of your ship. I am not sure about ranges in C2 anoms. Torp phoon might even be viable. And if you think that youll do small dps to cruiser rats dont forget your TPs and faction missiles. |
