I've been looking around for a 0.0 ratting setup. I've found either a PvE (missions mostly) or PvP, but nothing specific for taking down BS fast and easy. Im getting my Raven soon, I was thinking about:
Hi- 6x Arbie Cruise 2x Dimm Nos
Med- 1x Em Amplifier 1x Thermal Amplifier 1x X-Large C5-L Shield Booster 1x Shield Boost Amplifier I 2x Specific shield hardeners (angels kin/explosive)
My problem with this med setup is no AB and against Sanshas it ain't good
Low- 2x BCUII 3x PDUII
Any suggestions???

i hunt sansha all day long and this is what i find best, and the fastest way to make money by farming bs spawns
6x t2 siege -meds- 2x em hards 2x thermal hards 1x xl c5l booster 1x 18% cap recharcer (due to lack of cpu to fit anything else) -lows- 2x pdu's t2 3x bcu's t2
i get about 7,7 rof with this setup and i only need my shield booster in the 3x 1,5 or larger spawns

This kills ANY sansha, you can go afk and your raven will still be there :)
6*cruise 2*125mm t2
6*cap recharger OR 5*cap recharger t2 and 100mn ab
1*large armor repper, 2*thermal armor hardeners, 1*em armor hardener, 1*bcu t2
Not rly as heavy hitting as shield tanked raven, but with amazing survival ability :) With this setup I warp to belts at 20 km, so all cans are fairly close ;) Also enemy BS at short range don't have time to hit you with defenders - therefore all your missiles hit target.
Only thing that can brake it is triple tyrant spawn with cruiser escort. And that only if you decide not to fire at NPCs and give them time to take you down :)
Cap is self sustaining, so I run all hardeners and repper permanently. Saves life when you crash too. Funny thing is that you get better armor resistances then avarage chaining apoc. Enjoy. -----

Once you try it, you won't let it go :)
Works best with 3 ogre drones, and tbh i launched drones once every ten bs spawns. Railguns blow any frigate easy enough.

considering what npc's its designed for, more than valid setup.

would 1 thermal and 2 bcu be ok???
I'm wondering, because I know an extra BCU made a difference on my Ferox, so it probably will on a Raven too...

I'd like to have feedbacks on this armor tanking Raven... I had never heard that before. Furthermore, I prefer to hunt Sanshas since they drop faster and give better loots, but, since they do all types of dmg, aren't they a little harder to tank?

Sansha hits only with thermal and EM.
And yes, you can drop one ther hardener for BCU, but then again - it won't be diffrent from shield tanks then, when you often have to warp out, because you can't keep up with boosting.
I suggest you lab this on your own mate. My expirience says, that every single sansha dies fast enough when I have one BCU, but it's totally up to you. -----

I'm not flying a Raven yet, I'm flying a Dominix for tanking but the damage output is not as big as I want, training cruiser IV now...
I'd be suprised if one single LAR could sustain the Raven's tank, but I'll definitely try your setup.

6 x ara siege 1 x heavy diminshing nos 1 x small tractor bean
1 x large t2 shield booster, 1 x passive em hardner t2, 1 x active em t2, 1 x active thermal t2, shield boost amp, t2 cap charger
2 x t2 pdu 3 x t2 bcu
i haven't coma across any true shansha rat that i couldn't take down. Aslo use 5 t2 med drones that do em dmg if it doesn't fit use t1 stuff and put more pdu instead of bcu in low

I run..
highs 6 x Arbie Cruise 2 x e500 Energy Vampires
Mids Domination 100 MN AB Large T2 shield 2 Cap Recharge II Explosion Hardner T2 Sensor Booster II
Lows 3 PDS II 2 BCS II
Works great on Angels.. warp in @ 80km and can hit everything. I can usually kill a BS before they are in range with their torps. For hardcore spawns I just keep up range for as long as nessecary, then turn into them once I have enough of the damage dealers wounded. With the heavy NOS I can run the hardner, AB, and Shield Booster, almost indefinatley.
The Crusie DPS isn't that far off of Torps when you ahve decent skills vs BS, and far superior vs everything else. When you figure in the damage you can do at range, then I think the crusie launchers are the way to go on the raven for NPCs.

Fit a couple of tractor beams in the place of the guns and change to Ogres II and you have a winner. (for sansha that is), the link augmentor in one high is even better as the ogres II make you wipe the bs's like 30/40% faster, and some orbit at 48km, which means more isk/h.

All my corpmates are saying im a fool to try an armor tanking Raven... any thoughts on this?
I'm happy, as of tuesday skills requirements for tractor will be reduced to Science IV, so I'm already there :D

For angels, i use High: 6x arbalest cruise, 2x heavy diminishing nos Med: 1X kin, therm, EM active hardener (i use DG but i think T2 will still fit CPU wise) 1x Large shield booster II, 2x Shield boost amp Low: 3x Pdu II, 2x BCS II
Runs forever with the 2 nos going and Devastator cruise pop the Angel BShips quite fast

For angles i use:
6 Arb Seige with banes 1 Heavy Nos 1 Cloak -just in case, and not much else fits :(
1 C5-L Booster 2 Inv Hardner 1 Sheild boost amp 2 cap recharger (II's)
3 PDU II's 2 BCU II's
can deal with any angel spawn in 0.0 including officers and such

They are not absolutely necessary, but in my personal experience they hit BS's about 20% harder assuming your torps are trained the same as your cruise. The advantage of cruise is they are more versatile in they hit smaller ships harder and you have an option of using FoF and precision cruise missiles.

I myself preferred cruise launchers as you will still do good damage against bs and better damage against smaller targets than torps.
Also, cruise missiles take up less space in cargo.
TBH - belt hunting (depending on area) is pretty safe.
Here's what I fitted to fight Guristas:
Hi- 6x arbie cruise (or best you can afford) 2x small rails (for frigs but you can easily put something else)
Med- 1x XLarge Shield Booster 2x T2 Ballistic Deflection (use t2 or named if you want) 1x 100mn AB (I know, ab suck on BS but I hate waiting) 1x Cargo Scanner (LOL - serious. I looked at cans to see if I really wanted to go get them) 1x Cap Recharger t2
Low- 2x BCU 2 3x PDU2
Now, depending on if you're in an area that is relatively safe for you, swap out one or two of the lows for WCS. Yeah sucks but nothing worse then getting ganked with faction loot in hold.
While this set up is far from perfect it worked fine for me and there never was a spawn that it couldn't take.
I would suggest dropping the scanner for a shield boost amp and maybe the ab for a invul 2 hardner if it fits.

i hunted Sanshas for a while, and i used an armor tanked Raven too works much better than shield tanking in my opinion (against sanshas at least)
my setup was slightly different though
6 t2 siege 2 small t2 guns
5 t2 cap rechargers 1 t2 sensor booster
1 t2 large armor repair 2 n-type thermic hardeners 1 n-type em hardener 1 RCU
i warped to belts at 100, start blasting at 95, rarely had to even start the LAR. But with 5 cap rechargers, i could have run it for a long time.
Last Sansha spawn i killed was Vizan, he didn't even get to my armor

Anyone have a setup they would recomend for 0.0 angle ratting? they use explosive, so only one hardener...and siege would be better to.
Been ratting in my scorp, but it wasent as effective as i hoped, so ill try a raven instead
