I currently have 2 gtx590s in my machine but can not run sli because if i have the card in sli it causes my machine to lock up and reboot bsod basically. I disable sli and i can run the game fine.
Well, since rubicon launched it causes my video to stop responding after i closed the game. After restarting the game the game frozen and went to windows saying the driver crashed. I opened eve again this time it locked my pc please look into this. I just did a fresh os reinstall with the newest nvidia drivers. All temps fine my pc is water cooled.

I'm having some of the same problems with my GeForce GTX 580.
GPU: GeForce GTX580 CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500k CPU @ 3.30 GHz 8 GB Ram Driver Version 331.65 (latest from Nivida as of right now) Windows 7 Home Edition.
Again the driver just reports that it crashed. This only happens with Rubicon and I did have the issue occur on SiSi but after I got the latest driver it didn't occur on sisi. When it happened just now I DID have three eve accounts open in windowed mode on two different monitors open but was in station with all three. |

Client crashes, and the message is: "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" If two clients are running, both crash. May happen when docked or when in space. May happen is several seconds after game launch, or in several minutes. Only with Rubicon, never happened before. Looks like doesn't crash when in map display (F10).

I believe it is the DirectX 13 (11) update. Just scale down to directX 9 in the launcher and everything seems to work fine. So far. |

Switching to direct x 9 did fix it for me too but that is an unfortunate fix. Hopefully they figure this out soon. If CCP needs help getting it to happen or troubleshooting let me know it happens pretty quickly. |

Has anyone been able to play the game with sli active?
After a reboot i was able to play hours with no issues or driver crash but if i have sli active it crashes my pc and it reboots automatically. Just sucks that i have to keep switching back and forth from sli to single card everytime i go to play different games that are very gpu demanding. |

Patched up.
Game now crashes (sort of) upon initiation of Warp. Display Driver Failure.
GTX 560 Ti Card.
Have been running DirectX 11 without problems till now.
Changing settings via Launcher to DirectX 9 appears to solve the problem, allowing gameplay without Display Driver crash.

Regarding SLI setup with DX11:
We have not been able to recreate crashes on our SLI setup. But it does seem that SLI is not active when running with the default setup.
We had to go into the Nvidia control panel->Manage 3D settings and choose the "Program Settings" tab. Under the "SLI Rendering Mode" feature, changing the setting to "Force alternate frame rendering 1" did the trick for us, and SLI is active on DX11. |

Same problem with my GeForce GTX 470's. Graphics would glitch when moving a client window from one monitor to the next, or resizing the window. Would cause a system lockup with previous driver. Current driver (331.82) causes a driver crash. DXDiag available on request. |

This just doesnt get any better!!! After tunring off sli just so i can play is not the only issue now. After 3-4 hrs of game play i get the msg display drivers have stopped responding then within minutes i get a locked pc and reboot. So now not only do i have to leave sli off but when the display stoped i hurry up and stop everything im doing and restart my pc to keep it from crashing. This is just getting sad that this game works best on my little old crummy laptop and not my desktop pc with a 30in monitor and quad sli water cooled system!!! |

Hi. Just to be sure: You state you are using the newest driver 331.38. But is not the latest driver for the GTX590 331.82? |

I meant to type 331.82 being that there is no such driver 331.38. Some beta drivers just came out today gonna give them a shot. However with sli disabled and putting the game in dx9 has work for 8 hrs without issue. |

Since the Rubicon update a have had the same problem, random graphic's driver crashes almost every time I jump or warp. Before the Rubicon update it was all fine, not a single driver crash.
Today I tried update the graphic's driver, the result was even worse.
Then I tried this:

Then I realized that when i'm in "Planetary mode" I can both jump and warp without any problems. I have now tried this a couple of times whit the same result, when in "PI mode" it's all fine.
Hopefully this will help you guy's whit the troubleshooting.
My system is running on Nvidia 570 SLI with 331,93 Beta drivers. I have tried 331,82 and 327,23. Always the same problem. |

DX9 runs perfectly on my rig.
After some research on different forums i tried raising my GPU voltage...no difference, crashed during the first warp attempt under DX11 :(
The funny thing is that when I run benchmarks under DX11 there's no problems at all. |

Do you notice any pattern to this? Anything in particular you were doing that triggers this? If you can spare the time to run under DX11 with LogServer to capture some info for me, I'd be most grateful. Don't do anything risky though, stick with DX9 for real gameplay for now.

Same problem here as the rest or the Posts, machine running two 550's, three monitors, three clients. I do notice I get more Driver fails when I open Internet Explorer while running the clients (Google homepage, and EVEforums open in the tabs), but it usually recovered till today after DT when it crashed all three CCP.exe.
I have changed the DX9 after the last crash, I will subscribe to this thread and await a more permanent fix.

Reporting the same issue here. Seems pretty random for me. Sometimes I'll go 30-45 minutes without any issues and then have 3 driver crashes in the span of 30 seconds. From time to time it will totally crash the game and so far has frozen my entire computer, forcing a hard reset, twice. |

GTX580 here with 331.82 drivers.
After Rubicon I had to set Eve to DX9 or the video driver kept crashing causing Eve to stop responding.
After an update this week the DX9 bandaid no longer works either.
I have tried the Beta 331.93 drivers and rolled-back to 331.65 drivers.
Eve's unplayable right now.
If anyone could give me details about how to report the error logs, I'd be glad to contribute. |

My PC is pretty much a pile of junk. Having said that I never had it crash / lock up and white screen on me prior Rubicon. The only time that this happens to me is when I am running 2 clients, when running a single client it seems to be fine.
Alt tabbing to the other client seems to really upset it and when using the starmap last night my UI windows would blink and cause the client to intermittently freeze up making the star map impossible to use. I had to fight with the client to force it back into Solar map view at which point the client was useable again.
The only reason I am mentioning this is that I am wondering if this is related to running multiple clients as like I said I have no issues when only running a single client. |

I have 2x GTX 680 in SLI. I've had both video driver crashes and a strange issue where if I stop using the client, many of the windows in EVE, such as the fitting window, some chat windows etc stop rendering.
I have alternate frame rendering forced to 1 (and have tried 2 as well).
After switching to DX9, this no longer occurs. Seems to be isolated to DX11.
If you're trying to reproduce, try with the latest R331 NVidia drivers in SLI, with "prefer performance" set for power management options and use two cards from a different manufacturer.

AMD 7870 here.
Crashed when I got on grid with a moderate size fleet. Crashed and has recovered. Kept crashing when I logged in. Switched to DX9 and finally got in. Missed dread kills. I drain ducks of their moisture for sustenance. |

AMD 7870 here as well. Driver is crashing and then recovering. Have not been able to play all day.
Only happens with EVE. Tera, Farcry 3, War Thunder, FF XIV, Rust, all work fine. EVE is the only program that crashes the driver software.
The crash happens regularly around stargates. |

Reporting same issue with AMD 6800 (single). Crashes when I'm exiting warp at a stargate. Changing to DX9 appears to be a workaround. |

sorry to dig up that post, found through a google search, but in case that helps:
Same issue here with dx11, regularly crash (driver stopped responding) when exiting warp at a gate, on a single HD5870 (last time in Solitude, gate to Harner in Sarline)

TEMPORARY WORKAROUND FOR VIDEO CRASH WHEN WARPING:
I think I found a temporary workaround. I in a previous post I already mentioned that minimizing video settings helps to avoid the warp crash (for me at least). But that wasnGÇÖt really a satisfactory solution. So I started to narrow it down.
I found that disabling AA (Anti-Aliasing) solved the problem for me (tested over 1:30h with over 70 jumps over various accounts). ItGÇÖs not a perfect solution but at least all other settings can stay maxed out.
Hope this helps!
I originally posted this in another thread but some people have the same issues here... This gives you another option to try besides going back to DX9. |

Same issue, reverting to DX9 seems to solve the problem, crashed near every single time I warped. And as for the AA fix I would much rather use DX9 then no AA. |

It's not just an Nvidia graphics issue or an SLI issue. Right now, my pilot is logged off in space. The moment I log him in and the screen loads, it causes my laptop to take a dump. This is a brand new development with the latest patch. I don't even get an error message. I just straight-up hard lock and have to reboot. I also get issues when I use a blops bridge.

I was running EVE for a few days on my HDD and I hadn't have any issue at all. Now I re-installed it on my SSD and I ran an update to the latest nvidia driver. I started playing today and during the first fight i noticed, that there weren't any weapon sounds at all (although the music and alarms where there). Luckily, I got back to the station and then I had the blue screen as well.
I don't know if it might be related to the game being installed on an SSD? I'm playing many different games and don't have any video issue at all. It seems that it is definitely related to the game. |

It's unlikely the SSD has anything to do with this, although it does change timings of asset loading so I guess anything is possible.
Anyway, more details might help us track this down - hardware specs, driver versions, etc.

I just came back to EVE, literally like 30mins ago. My client crased almost immediately and consistently with every time I used ISIS. Even though I have never had problems with DX11 before (with any game) switched it to DX9 and crashes have stopped. |

I have been having this same issue since Rubicon launched. I have crashed running directx 11 with 1,2 and 3 clients open, I have crashed running all three in the middle of running anoms. As well as with only one sitting in pos doing nothing.
My most recent crash was just me running scout, salvage and an alt open doing nothing. The latter 2 dropped but the first did not. Then the display driver failed after relaunching my savager but i did not lose any of my clients. The only fix I have found has been switching to directx 9 but that just seems wrong. |
