Well what it says really... you think ti will only be BS for the roleplayers or somehting that will change the face of eve? will it turn Caldari BoB against Ammar BoB? Will it force gallente RA to mine at a different belt than mattari RA? Will it lead to Kaar snipping H'wi Noree while Gaus Beloid tackles him?... erm getting carried away but you get the picture...
Will us allied 0.0 denizens ignore this (seems likely) or will CCP use teh old carrot or teh older stick to make us war based on race rather than the friendships /alliances we have made so far in the game? (note I am only very slightly drunk... nothing more than a pleasent buz rly)

And here I thought I had missed another War declaration in the last 24 hours...
Seriously, I don't think i have spent more than 1 week in the last six months in Caldari space. Why would I suddenly get involved in some fight between the Caldari and the Gallente when I spend 99% of my time in deep 0.0 and the other 1% of my time in Amarr space on shopping expeditions?

From what I can remember from EON #2, Faction Warfare is essentially dynamically generated missions for empire vs empire, with the success and failure of each mission determening the outcome of future events. Say Amarr sent a massive task force to try and take a Minmatar system (I doubt anything on this scale would happen at the start, but it's a good example). If they won the battle, the region would become part of the amarr empire.
The big difference is though is that you're not just fighting NPCs - players will be able to sign up through the "call of duty" panel that will appear in stations. While a corporation may pledge allegance (sp) to one of the factions/empires, no corp member will actually be involved unless he decides to take some of the missions.
Whether or not a player-run alliance can attempt to claim the space of an empire faction remains to be seen.

We tend to shoot eachother anyway. Although tbh, I think you will find corps choosing who they will fight for/against, rather than all going with their own opinions.
Also the fact that a few members are already -5 or worse with certain empires, means they will have made our minds up for us as they will now attack our members on site (according to the latest patch notes)
Down with the Gallente!
Aliens do exist. They're just waiting for Chuck Norris to die before they attack. |

More mission garbage I expect.
Nothing is worth running missions.
