Hello,
is it only me or is anybody else experiencing this? After I deploy my sentries, they immediately gain a velocity of 1 m/s and are trying to escape... |

They've always done this. Can be a pain when shooting at something for a long time. They can drift inside POS shields whereupon you lose control of them, for example. |

They act exactly like any other drone. just very very very slowly. I did have a time lapse .gif of them to proove it, but I can't remember where I saved it. |

I remember reading somewhere that they have a very low velocity to allow them to use the same tracking formula as ships, which depends on transversal velocity. Having a velocity of 0 was breaking the programming somewhere. I can't find the link though. www.ensignyooch.wordpress.com |

the eve server does not know the orientation of a drone or ship. This means your ship is a dot for him. The only way to tell the client where some item is pointing at is to make it move in the direction. They move to the target they are shooting which makes them point in the direction they are firing at.
thats why they are moving. eve style bounties (done) dust boarding parties imagine there is war and everybody cloaks - join FW |

That's why they stop, then move, then stop, then move, then stop, then move, then stop, then move. Seriously zoom in and watch, they have little spurts out the ass when they move between each shot.
