Hello, was hoping to get some insight from other players with this issue.
So after updating to Rubicon I get random fps drops while doing nothing whatsoever. It is never stable and goes to 40 or 30 fps every now and then.
Usually it sits at 60 but that 40 / 30 drop makes a stutter that drives me crazy.
Anyone else having this? Dx9 or Dx11 is the same I'm beginning to think its my pc or something. |

Yeah mate. Same problem here. Very frustrating. I always have the present interval set to "interval one". Never had a frame drop before Rubicon. Now, like yourself, I get drops of up to 30 fps and it doesn't matter if I use DX9 or DX11. We're not the only ones either. I was watching a streamer the day Rubicon was released and he had the same issue on a brand new PC. CEO of New Eden Scallyways. We Suck At Being Good! |

The thing is that even with low settings I have that fps drop. I haven't had that issue with other online games. I even downgraded my gpu drivers no luck. Maybe I will install the os again and see if its anything about it thats making this.
I have a gtx480 never had an issue with eve before. |

Normal pvp not a prob just when the rats attack me or if i attack the rats |

i had a thread with similar goings on, still wrestling with it to some extent but rubicon did fix alot of my stutteryness. so thanks for that ccp.
the reason im posting is before rubicon (when i had this issue really bad) i noticed something which i wasnt able to re-test, in an area when fps drops (not due to clouds but due to ui/whatever lag, clouds are something else entirely..) set all ur graphics to max by optimising for quailty (also need semi decent card) and see if your fps jumps back up.
i was inside a ball of rats, tracking camera on with mediumish setting gettting about 40-45 fps, hit optimise for quaility and it went silky smooth until i went to the next area with a giant cloud in it..
also a corpmate reported that running in DX9 with interval intermediate made the game playable again
also also maybe run with interval intermediate under situations you expect the fps drop, the way double buffered vsync works is if you cant tank 60fps solidly then it can cut fps in half, if this is the case try enabling tripple buffering in ccc / nvidia equivilant thingie or if you dont mind screen tearing interval immediate but with a frame cap set. obviously this doesnt solve the issue of why you cant get 60fps anymore but it may help with percieved stutteryness |
