Hello.
First, i must mention that i am a complete noob when it comes to assembly arrays. I apologise in advance if my questions seem dumb.
Here they are:
1. Can Advanced Assembly Arrays be anchored in 0.5+ POS-es (assuming the corp meets all the required standing)
2. What is the minimal POS configuration to be able to build ships in Ships Assembly Arrays ? (Its a note on every ship array that says: a Ship Maintenance Array with enough free storage space needs to be in range. So, is a Tower + Ship Assemble Array + Ship Maintenance all you need ?)
3. Can the BPO for a ship you want to build be stored in a NPC station - corp hangar in the same system and used from there to build ships at a POS ? Can the BPO be stored in a NPC station in another system, does the range varies depending on your skills ? In addition to this question, i have few more: - 3a. What happens if the POS and the Ship Assembly Array gets destroyed while building ? Is the BPO destroyed too ? Or it can be looted from the destroyed POS ? Or, it is dropped back in the NPC station hangar ? - 3b. What happens if the POS runs out of fuel while in the procces of building a ship ? What happens to the BPO, minerals, etc ? - 3c. If a POS runs out of fuel while it was building a ship using a BPO from the NPC station hangar and if somebody comes and unachors and "steal" the ship maintainance array, what happens to the BPO and the minerals used ?
4. Can the output of an assembly array be directed to a NPC station in the same system/constellation/region ?
5. How much time it saves in production (if it saves) ?
6. If it saves production time, is it because of the use of a Rapid Equipment Assembly Array ?
7. Is there a noob guide on the forums that describes the entire manufacturing process in a POS in safe space ?
Thank you in advance for your answers.

Yes.

Yep, that's it. I'd advise a hanger array as well though, it's nice to have something to store minerals in to make the hauling easier.

Not certain on these ones, there's a few bugs that should be fixed in Blood tied to this. The BPO can be kept in an NPC station in the same system. If the array loses power or is destroyed then the BPO should be returned to the station. I would assume that if the array loses power then the job is cancelled, the BPO back to the station and the minerals back to the input. Or you could just lose the minerals as a reminder to keep your tower fueled.
At a guess, on completion of the job the database will be polled to see if the job can be completed successfully. If it cannot then it will fail and everything will be returned to as it was before the job was started. You will be unable to anchor the assembly array while it has an active job as it will be in use.
Quote: 4. Can the output of an assembly array be directed to a NPC station in the same system/constellation/region ?
No, I remember reading something about linking modules tied to constellation sov and outposts as an idea but at this time only a BPO can be used remotely.
Quote: 5. How much time it saves in production (if it saves) ?
From the Blood Patch notes, an advanced ship assembly array will allow the production of T2 ships with a 25% time reduction and a 10% increase in wastage. A normal ship assembly array will just give a 25% time reduction.
For more information see the patch notes (Blood, Science & Industry Improvements & Fixes).
Quote: 6. If it saves production time, is it because of the use of a Rapid Equipment Assembly Array ?
No, that builds equipment like ship fittings very fast. 35% less time, 20% more wastage.
Quote: 7. Is there a noob guide on the forums that describes the entire manufacturing process in a POS in safe space ?
Not to my knowledge. One might get put together soon but there's still a few bugs standing in the way.
My advice is to wait for Blood to fix the current problems and to do some testing on Singularity. Put up a small tower with some of the assembly arrays. Grab some minerals and BPOs and have a play, time spent finding problems before you do it live is money saved before it all goes horribly wrong. Lyrus Associates is recruiting |

Thank you very much for your answers.
I will remeber to test it on sisi before i'll go with it on Tranq.
Cheers.

All you need is the tower and the ship assembly array.
The description for the ship assembly arrays says Quote: (Note: To assemble a ship from a Ship Assembly Array a Ship Maintenance Array with enough free storage space needs to be in range that the ship can be moved there)
The important phrase here is "To assemble a ship".

*rubs hands together with a big smile*
Reading all these POS posts is sooo... much getting me excited about building a POS myself *smiles*
*watches SP slowly grind away* *sighs*

Is it possible to build advanced materials in secure-space-POS?

No. No moon harvesters, no reactors. I think it might be possible to have silos since they can hold minerals but you can't use them for reacting without the reactor. Lyrus Associates is recruiting |

How about 0.1-0.3? Is it posible there to have harvesters/reactors?

Its possible. If there is a system sec restriction u can read it in the structure info.

Now I remember seeing the dev notes say that you could keep the BPO in a 'nearby' station, but I wasn't really sure what that meant. So, does the BPO have to be in an NPC station in the same system, or can you keep the BPO in a nearby system, say 1-2 jumps away?

You need supply chain management skill, Level 1 same system level 2 one jump ect I believe.

ok one more dumb question, this time from me ;). If I set up a POS in secure space (0.5+) and someone attacks it, does CONCORD react to this?

Not sure, but assuming normal rules i'd say YES, agression against another players is agression against another player.
Here comes the confusing part tho, if your POS shoots someone in 0.5+ does concord come and destroy your pos ? -----------------
^^ Now i got my own exotic dancers, thnx Chribba |

The actual answer is NO concord will not stick up for it... but you can put guns and they will fire on anyone that attacks the pos and concord will do nothing again

Supply Chain Management allows you to start production on a BPO from a remote location, but the BPO must be in the place you want have the items manufactured at. There should be a way to keep the BPO in an NPC station, then go to your POS and use the BPO remotely to build items in the POS.
