Hello,
I'm currently doing highsec Sansha plexes in a T1 frig, but some of them are a bit too chalenging for the hull capabilities. So I'm thinking of upgrading to the following:
[Retribution] Small Armor Repairer II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II EM Plating II Thermic Plating II
Experimental 1MN Afterburner I [empty med slot]
Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Imperial Navy Multifrequency S Salvager II
Small Capacitor Control Circuit I Small Capacitor Control Circuit I
The idea is to just go around different systems and hunt down the plexes that show on the onboard scanner.
The given setup is cap stable permarepping, but this is where I run into a couple of problems.
1) For the life of me, I can't figure out how to fit a MWD while remaining cap stable. 2) What do I put in the remaining mid slot? 3) Anything else that I should consider changing around?
Thank you. |

The way I see it cap stability means that you aren't using the ship's capabilities to its fullest.
You don't need to perma-run your prop or your rep. The prop is just for traveling to and from your targets. Once you arrive you'll want to turn it off to lower your sig, mitigating damage. You should be able to manage your range and the room's agro in such a way that you only need to pulse the rep. Don't just fly into the middle of a bee hive and expect not to get overwhelmed.
That said, have you considered putting a cap charger in that last mid and swapping out a rig for more damage, tank or speed? Another thing to consider is training up some rockets and going with the vengeance. It has the mid slots for cap/e-war and a capless weapon system. The retribution is generally considered to be a tanky piece of junk.
Keep in mind that all my fitting experience comes from pvp. I don't do any pve so might not be the be the guy to advise on the subject. |

He probably needs to keep it running so that he is faster than the NPCs, partly so he can orbit them faster to avoid shots, partly so he can get into range. |

I tried out some Serpentis combat sites with a Hawk and it managed them perfectly.
This is the fit I used.
[Hawk, Serpentis Highsec Exploration] Ballistic Control System II Signal Amplifier II
1MN Afterburner II Small C5-L Emergency Shield Overload I Data Analyzer I Relic Analyzer I Cap Recharger II
Light Missile Launcher II, Scourge Light Missile Light Missile Launcher II, Scourge Light Missile Light Missile Launcher II, Scourge Light Missile Light Missile Launcher II, Scourge Light Missile Core Probe Launcher I, Sisters Core Scanner Probe
Small Capacitor Control Circuit I Small Capacitor Control Circuit I
It scans the combat sites just fine with moderate skills and no role bonuses. I'm not sure how it does at relic and data sites as I never got around to trying those out but it breezed through all the level 3 sites I found. The only problem is it takes a while to burn down LCOs with LMs.

I'm pretty sure Praxis was answering the comment about not being able to fit a mwd and remaining cap stable.
Also, orbiting the enemies fast enough to avoid getting shot might also mean orbiting fast enough to avoid shooting them. |

Noted. However, If I exchange both cap rigs for a cap recharger the fit is no longer stable. Still gives out more than 4 minutes, so it should be manageable, but I need to play with it a bit to if any difficulties arise.

This looks pretty nice, however I'm still pretty young ingame, so I feel like retraining for missiles instead of training up other ship-piloting related skills at this point will be a bit counter-productive.

You're right, it's better to focus your skills. Looking at the Retribution in EFT, however, I'm not sure how suitable it would be for running combat sites. The damage projection seems a bit lacking and the tank is also quite weak but I can't say for sure how much tank you'll need. With the Hawk, I could just enter a room, set to orbit the exit gate @ 500 and just snipe the whole room as I made my way across. It was very fast. Oh god. |

Don't fit a mwd, an afterburner is good enough and personally I think even better for those plexes. You don't really need the speed a mwd provides. Besides that mwd's bloat your signature radius and the speed can make it harder for you to hit due to transversal. And that is of course without taking into account cap.
The T1 afterburner I'd replace with T2 though or shop for an inexpensive faction or deadspace afterburner. Opposed to mwd the T2 afterburner, faction and deadspace ones do have a speed benefit over the T1 meta. In the remaining med slot I'd put a cap recharger II. With that in place you can likely replace one of the cap rigs for an energy weapon rig like a small energy collission accelerator. |

If you have 4 min of cap with everything running then you will very likely be stable with the rep off. Just pulse the rep as needed.
Have you considered using an omen? Cuisers arevery forgiving for low sp pve. |

Your fit doesn't have to be great for high sec plexes. This is what I came up with in eft after about 3 minutes:
[Retribution, High Sec Plexing] Small Armor Repairer II Centum C-Type Energized Thermic Membrane Centii A-Type EM Plating Heat Sink II Heat Sink II
1MN Afterburner II Cap Recharger II
Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Scorch S Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Scorch S Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Scorch S Small Focused Pulse Laser II, Scorch S [empty high slot]
Small Energy Locus Coordinator I Small Energy Locus Coordinator I
4:07 cap everything running, stable with AB off. Faction mods are very cheap (1 - 4 mill price range iirc). 183 dps with 22km optimal. For overseers you just want to heat your guns with conflag loaded to kill it as soon as possible and in that case you're going to be doing 294 dps. |

If you can get a missile AF like the Hawk it would be better for plexing against Sanshas to avoid possible TD. I use an AF to do up to 4/10s in Caldari space so I chose an Ishkur because the drones are very useful to kill jamming frigates/cruisers. |

If I read the op correctly you are just doing the anoms? i.e. using the ship scanner to find the sites and not probing down sites? If that is the case just use a arty cane or something along that route. No tank just alpha the rats and run around doing sites in 1-2 minutes or less.
If you are doing the scan down sites, do as people in this thread suggested. |
